Right now I have mine at 125psi, 6.5ms dwell and the cap is around 2 turns out, since my field chronos at 250.
Not very efficient like this, but it shoots SO smooth and quiet!

I have yet had a chance to actually shoot the marker when it was tuned with the lurker bolt in it... What exactly are the optimal starting settings for it?

Depends on how you tune it. Mine right now is tuned to perfection, I can stick my thumb in the breech and pull the trigger the bolt lightly hits my thumb and resets.
OP:140psi
backcap:1.5 turns out
open dwell:4.5ms
closing dwell:5ms
chrono:290fps +/-2

Don't be sorry, just search, my friend. Spend a few hours reading and you'll know everything you need.
Start with your Axe manual so you know the terminology. Pay attention to the part diagrams. Then Google.

Your right. Thanks Clark. I've been searching in here and found a couple of threads but I will look at the manual too.
