wallet chains

Ok, so im in school friday and its 2:45. School just got let out and im walking with my girlfriend to get our crap to go home. Half way i remember my cd's so i head back. I get into the room and my english teacher (odd but cool at times) is talking with a few other teachers that i dont know. As i get my cd's one of them says "Son, i dont want to see that wallet chain on you ever again, if i do i will write you up for haveing wepons (sp?) in school" Well i see lots of kids with them so i say "its not a wepon" and she goes "its illegel by the michigan state law to have one over 6 inches". At that point im calling bull.

I have one because my wallet has been stolen from me 3 times (im in detroit alot) but the chain has stoped it. So, what do you think?

p.s. sorry about the spelling, its late and i just got off work.

That's horse **** about it being against Michigan state law. The school can ban them, but he's full of **** otherwise. Tell him to go to Royal Oak on a Saturday and see all of the people there breaking the "law."

If you're really worried about getting your wallet stolen put it in your front pocket.

That and wallet chains went out of style....unless you're a 60 year old school janitor.....or my moms mentally disabled cousin.

I think thats stupid I live up in MI and I've never gotten really any **** for one, though I don't wear one anymore. I just put my wallet in my front pocket.

i live in ny, pickpockets are common. i wear one when im walking around the city and am carrying quite a bit of money ($20+)
