The pressure also has less surface on the poppet to work against. Is that a good or bad thing considering the pressure would he higher?

Force would be about the same (force is applied perpendicular to the face, so unless there's a radius to the tip to vector it out then it should be the same surface area), but the chamber would stabilize faster more than likely popping the valve open quicker resulting in improved consistency and efficiency. Again, I've never seen one of these in person so it's pure conjecture on my part. I hope these hit the market while axes are still in hot demand.

I'd love to see my Axe PSI be able to be cut down to around 120. I was running my Lurker bolt at 120PSI a whole back and it was SO smooth (but very inefficient).

I don't care about efficiency above 4 pods and a hopper off a 56/45. Smoother is better for me.

I'm with blueshifty. Luckily I play at a field with air in the pits so I favor smooth and quiet. Currently loving my Boss Infamous Bolt + Lurker Eigenbarrel combo.

Gotta keep the Axe alive and continue to see innovation.

That's interesting. So basically everything behind the ball would be subjected to the same pressure? (in theory at least).

What do you think about the weight of the poppet? Would lighter or heavier be better? I was thinking a lighter poppet would move easier for the pressure to move.

And efficiency still means something to some people! We have to use scuba tanks if we play in the woods locally. I usually have to use my Victory or Merlin for this reason, but I would love to be able to use the Axe more often. It would be nice if this poppet and an aftermarket bolt would get us 1800+ shots from a 68/4500.

Yeah dude, I suppose you could PM lurker if you want to know more but I will say that whenever he does release it I think we'll all be happy. I am perfectly content with the performance of my Axe as is now, so this will be icing on the cake.

The weight of a mini, 45/45, and new jt revolution would be incredible

Do you know if the shells on the new Revolution are like the cheap Brass Eagle shells or the old school Revi shells? I used to use that setup when I owned a Mini except I was using pre-BE shells with Empire Reloader internals. The only problem is how short the the 45/4500 is on the Mini reg but it was fixed by a tank extender.

The feedback I've heard on the shells has been positive.

I can't wait to get this into a bunch of Axes. Lurker has some nice tricks up his sleeve on this design so stay tuned for a much more user friendly, reliable, and efficient piece if work. I do t mean to put words in his mouth, but this sounds like it is performing well so far. Should be another great innovation from the Lurker camp! Thanks for your efforts to improve our guns Ryan!

Mario rpg best game ever made

We are getting our new proto in, the old one had seal issues with an oring so this one is Delrin, it looks an awful lot like the ego lv1 valve now

Do you mean the entire poppit is delrin or only the sealing face? Will the delrin sealing face be replaceable like the current poppet faces?

Entire poppet, most likely. I will see in testing how Delrin holds up, but my thought is that it will be ok if it's not replaceable, there are many precedents in paintball for that

It will be okay if it proves to be more reliable than the stock faces. I think delrin is a better material for the job, so hopefully it will not be as temperamental. I just don't want to be stuck buying a new poppit every time I get a leak down the barrel...unless you could sell them for around $10-$15.

Sounds interesting. I think delrin should be fine... I can't wait to see these.

I'm so glad these new Axe poppets are still in development and haven't been shelved indefinitely. As long as I know they're coming, I'll be waiting anxiously.
