I've replaced three sets in two markers over the last two years. At thispoint I'd recommend NON lazer 4c eyes.

I have both. I like the lazer because you can tell if it's an eye malfunction or not just by looking down the feed neck

all you can tell with laser eyes is if the transmitter is working

I've seen a few that lit but did not function. Besides, your board will tell you if there is an eye malfunction.

You can use a cell phone camera to see if your eyes are working with the non-laser eyes.
Save your money and get regular 4-eyes. If you play semi that is. If you play psp modes, save your money and stick with the 2-eyes since 4-eyes don't help in ramping.

I play capped 15 semi and have run both 2c and 4c eyes. I have not had an issue hitting and staying at 15 with either. If you have the extra money sitting around and just want them do it, if not than no biggie.

while i also like the non laser 4c; I think they have there place no matter what bps cap you use. i just like the insurance that as the batteries in my loader decay, or die, or i just run the loader dry i never have to worry about eye delay. with the 4c the gun can be set to as fast as possible in uncapped and with out changing a setting i can switch to a vmax or even a shaker loader with out worry about breaking paint. people always think of them as a go fast part (which they are) but people often over look them as a way to simplify and or bullet proof your gun

Only in semi uncapped, anything else is worthless unless you like the the pretty laser.

no point in laser eyes in my opinion... it's not like you have a lil window at the breach of the marker to see whether or not the eyes are on... I mean, how often do you stare into the breach of your marker during play?

my 2 cents is if you are playing tournaments, no. however if you play scenario and the other team is the cheating Germans, then yes uncap that thing and make it rain. but with tournaments there is just no point whatsoever.

That's my reason to have them. The stock eyes are fast enough for anyone. I like having the extra insurance to lessen the odds of chopping. (which I have yet to have happen with the stock eyes either).

Second question on this thread. Is there truly a difference between the eyes for Protege, Marq, and Victory. Bob Long website sells them that way. But they seem to fit and coronet the same between them.

Gen 2 marqs and gen 5 intimidator use the same eyes. Gen 1 marqs use there own and so does the gen 6 intimidator.
