Turn the ignition on, listen or have a friend listen near the fuel tank, if you hear a whir it's at least pumping. Might have some other issue with it but that's usually not the fuel pump if you hear it running.
Otherwise, if you don't hear it try whacking a baseball bat against the tank while your try to start the car, if it starts up only when you do it, it's definitely the fuel pump.
It's not the best job without a full lift, so I'd make sure before you take anything else off this POS. Also, when you say "still no spark" do you mean at the spark plugs or what I think you mean that it's not starting up?
