Don't have new pants but i really like the look/features of the PE pants.

I got a new pair of the Empire Prevail 2012 pants and they have worked out very well so far. Extremely sturdy, comfortable, nice n' cool, and great padding for bounces. I would highly recommend trying them on in person first though to make sure leg length is correct.
