Poppit or Spoolie for Scenario/Big Game
I have been debating this for a while now. Have always been a fan of Ego's and such but I have a few teamates who really like Spools as well. Been looking at some Ego X's/11's and some Dye NT11's. Just wondering peoples opinion on the subject as I know there are discrepancies about which is the better one to go with for Scenario play. I know most Poppits will have better air efficiency but I know the NT11 has pretty dang good efficiency as well. Please post back as it pertains to what kind of gun I will be playing with for the 2012 and maybe more season. Thanks!!

Bob long Victory! CRAZY effiecency and shoot in between a poppit and spool! Shoot great though! So go with a V2 or Ripper!

But I've heard that BL's you have to clean extremely often. Or I have heard they breakdown a lot

Nope. Actually they have crazy little maintenance. And no, they are super reliable and durable. My v1 victory still shoots like new butter.

Yea the nt11 will probably need more maintenance then the Vic. And the Vic maintenance is alot easier

Hm....because thats the exact opposite of what I've heard about em. K then G6R or Victory. Its based on poppit vs. spool because of air efficiency and such. Need something that might need to last a while and I know the majority of people say poppit markers have better efficiency

I've owned an nt as well as a Vic, and I liked the Vic alot more. The only thing I like about the nt more is the way it feels in ur hands. My Vic shot straight butter and was amazingly accurate. Run an lp tank and set ur pressures right, and you'll have am amazing gun. I miss mine so much.

Take a look at Alien. Id take an Indy over a G6R or Ego11 any day of the week.
If you want an inline poppit then take a look at anything in the Marq series which includes the Marq Victory mentioned above.
I try not to compare markers that arent of the same basic design thus I wont even go into the Alien vs Victory argument. If you want to know what is "better" for you then you have to shoot them and see; They all have their perks.

look into an independence no joke. Things shoot godly. If you are doing big games go for a poppet. You never know when that last pod may win or lose the battle.

Definatley go with a poppit, more air efficient for big games, the G6R is slightly more efficient, however the victory is also a poppit, all bob long guns are poppits, the vic is what they call an inline poppit. As far as a V1 vic vs. V2 or Ripper, they are all the exact same internals, so unless you just have to have the milling of a V2 or ripper go with a V1, same exact thing, I would get a V1 with the new "G6R" style grips though, either way you won't go wrong. I've owned bassically ever high end gun out there, I just like to see what they all offer, and with bob long you can't go wrong! The NTs feel good in your hands but aren't very efficient and are maitnance whores! Haha hope this helps you, if you have any questions feel free to pick my brain, I've owned several of bob longs and Dyes.

The problem with the g6r and the vic is you need a LP output tank.
EDIT: that whole paragraph is just... full of ignorance

As someone who does play pump at events, I take offense to this statement... I don't do it to save money, I do it because it's fun. On top of the fact that I primarily play speedball, I take the same mindset into scenario games and get right up in peoples ****.

I've always like spools because they are generally quieter than poppets... Not always true, but most of the time it is. I like a gun where I can get behind a group of the opposing team and start one-balling them from 30 feet away while they're completely clueless where it's coming from. Poppets will generally be more efficient though, so if you're more of the "run and gun" type a poppet may be more suitable for you because you can get more shots off of a smaller tank before reloading. At least, that's the way I've always looked at it.
As for what particular poppet or spool gun? Yeesh, that's tough to even make a suggestion anymore, because there are so many great guns out there. I'd say it more boils down to what feels comfortable in your hand and/or has the color combinations you like once you've chosen the basic operating system. If I had the money, I'd be rocking a Luxe for a spooly, but since I don't have the money I'm rocking an eXtcy, so, all the reliability and proven performance of the old Ion's without raping the wallet. For a poppet, I've always liked Eclipse and the Ego (especially in that Combat 2 color scheme), but there's no doubt that Bob Long makes some nice stuff too.

Viking. Durability and maintenance-free factors are unmatched.
But as some have said, try the ones you're interested in(spool or poppet) then make a decision.
