I dont see how this gun is so "complex". its a great looking gun, simple. ok so there is a lot of o-rings, thats probably why this thing will be the most efficient spool out there. only the bolt moves so anything concerned with the bolt is the only o rings to worry about wearing. hoseless design is simple. the reg is easy and simple. the trigger frame is the same and nice and simple. bolt removal simple. bolt design simple yet advanced. props macdev

I must admit when i first saw the Clone GT i didn't particularly like the look of it but it's one of those type of markers that grows on you as time goes on and i'm sure it looks even nicer in the flesh.

Improvements are that it is even more gentle on paint while retaining its efficiency(proposed 1700+ when broken in) and how smooth it is. Plus the tool-less bolt removal is always nice and I would consider an improvement also.
I think the droid and the clone have the same moving orings. The three on the valve, the three on the powertube, and the ones on the bolt.

+ the bolt keg inner and spacer inner oring. And there is two on powertube. And out of the three on the bolt only two of them truly seal.

Yes yes, calm down. At least, unlike a Luxe, all the orings are easy to service, and require very little lube. The drive is really simple to take apart and put back together, and you really only have to do it every 3-4 cases anyway. If you have half a brain, no worries. Full brain? Even better!

It blows my mind when people complain about the number of o-rings in a gun.

If that's their only complaint then MacDev did a hell of a job.

Would you prefer they call them potential failure points? While I agree that Macdev does a good job engineering their guns, I don't think dismissing a high o-ring count is necessarily technically correct. That said, static o-rings are quire reliable, only dynamic, critical rings really count to my mind.

true, but then again the droid didnt exactly have a lot of oring issues that werent user error. The valve ring was the one more "common" but again considering the marker had 8 dynamic seals......

The clone/VX was much better and I can only assume this one will be also, heck even markers with very few dynamic rings(Geo anyone) still have issues.

I have never had issues with reliability due to o-rings, but for the average guy that doesn't even clean paint off his gear it can be a concern.
