I'm a fan of the Freak myself, but you'll find TONS of opinions on what the "best" barrel is.

Which ever one you can afford
I second the opinion on the Freak, even with the aluminum inserts, mine never let me down. However, the TechT iFit looks interesting. I like the idea of smaller bores it offers vs the outdated larger bores of the Freak. Even playing here in Fl over the last few years, I haven't used anyting over a .689.

Interesting. I did not know Newegg vended paintball gear.

You can certainly find a better price in the BST here, unless you really need/want brand new. Just make sure you get Ion threads, and you'll be good to go.

I like to use a barrel with some sort of back/insert system. Even ignoring the accuracy benefits of matching paint to your barrel, there are those times where one boresize will shoot great with one kind of paint under one set of weather conditions, but with other paint or conditions you'll get breaks or other issues. So it's always good to have a small, medium, and large bore available. I use Deadlywind Fibur barrels on my GOG/SP guns because they accept freak inserts and are super-quiet. But any Freak-based system is good, IMO.

skip the adapter, and just get an Ion threaded back for it.

I suggest the Freak barrel system, as if you want to get a different gun, instead of having to buy another barrel system, all you have to do is get a new back for your new marker.
