got rid of mine for a dm and so far i like the ergonomics a little better and it has a slight bit more recoil but the shot is snappier and more responsive... they seem on par but you have to make a choice what is more important to you

Get the OP a job. This is an incredibly well thought out thread.

macro-less is cool and all, but if you have the macro line inline with the grip frame (not off to a side) how does it get in the way? adding machining ops/tools just costs more, and if I were to guess Dye has some damn good machinist and engineers in their shop. My 2c is I just let Dye do their thing, been shooting only their markers since the pm5. I may be biased as I am a machinist myself. Don't bash this post, it is purely an opinion and neutral. I have no problem with macro hoses and have always just had an on/off/asa that comes from the center of it and cut the macro line so that it can only be long enough to be inline.

In the past week, I've had 2 guns to fix that I've had to remove the frame and air them up to pinpoint leaks. And another gun I swapped a reg over on to diagnose. Can't do such things with a macroless design.

Is this a legit dm13?

Possibly, but it's still got macro. The reg is too skinny like the hyper 3 and does not have any added width to allow passage to solenoid. It's simply a dm with no macro fittings screwed in. The only reason I say it could possibly be a 13 is because it doesn't seem to have cutouts on the side, and from the pic of the one poster that's floating around, the dm13 has a window cutout more on top of the body than on the side.

That is not macro-less. It just doesn't have any fittings attached.

Look at the DM13 pic, it's laying at the exact same place. Ofcourse it's a photoshopped DM13 to look like some new NT13. Well, to bad, not gonna happen!

If a gun came macroless I would think its cool, but a gun having a macro line would never be a draw back. What are you guys smoking? the hose weighing you down so you can't make snake? OH NO I LOST WORLD CUP MY MACRO LINE GOT IN THE WAY.
Get bent.

I agree 100%. It's kinda like an OLED board, imo. It's cool, but doesn't really increase the marker's performance.
There is also the little fact that the UL grip is cramped enough, and getting an air passage through it wouldn't be possible in it's current configuration.

Like you guys say, saying the macro is in the way is bs. Although I do like the feel of a macro less design, and this feels like the natural next step.
Also, all things like OLED boards, custom anno/lasering and stuff like that don't mean jack schitt when on the field.

Looked like a nice gun you have been drawing on!
Would like to see a better trigger and maybe a OLED board before i would consider purchasing a new DM.
Know the OLED board doesen´t increase the performance in any way, but i thinke its about time that also DYE came with this on their DMs.
Currently own a DM9 and DM12 and i cant say there is much difference in performance between the two! See no point in pumping out annual new guns if there is no difference what so ever! Like DM12/13.
