The macro on the DM12 is really good. Almost like it's not there. However, I'm not a diving snake player, so I could see how it be better for that. Interesting information in this thread.

I would love to see this come true. Dye already makes amazing stuff and this would definitely be the way to go.

i was looking at designs of the NT if dye goes macroless it will probably be the NT version over dm version. it would be way easier since you dont have to account for an lpr.

all i did was crop out the lpr and threw in an nt bolt...

Basically, this is what the AutoCAD version is looking like with a couple adjustments. Will be getting them up as soon as all my exams and terms papers get out of the way. Sorry for the delay.

I'd still probably get one though. blue with clear accents is my favorite color but like dm5 blue, not dm9-10 blue. I'm really happy the dm12 line went back to the bright colors. Dye seems to be making the right moves.

So i realized that dye already has an entire enternal reg that they designed back in 2003 lol.

the dm3 lpr. just a few adjustments here or there with airflow... maybe a spring change and it could be done.

zdspb.com

but i like my design because it works off of the current lpr/hpr designs which are pretty consistent. either way this is another option lol. I cant believe i didnt think about this before, it was staring me in the face.

(picture it verticle instead of horizontal and in the place of the hpr... i guess if i ever build this thing, i might use that concept since it would be easier than building an entire hpr from scratch)

and im pretty sure dye owns the rights to that lpr design as well.

edit: just a side thought that for the asa for the securing screw. What about having it screw into the asa when tightened to seal the passage. So keep the current design where you can tighten the asa through the grip frame, only when you tighten it, it screws into the asa. Keep the rail on the sides though to help keep the asa stable and give the option of making it a gas through still.

edit edit: looks like current designs engage a spring which pushes down a pin into the asa to secure it. this mechanism would have to be replaced so that it engages a screw.

maybe something like this.

edit edit edit: saw this on the dye nt forum... the dye nt has been removed from the menu? could it be? will we see something new soon or is it just regular site maintenance

I'd be happy with macroline if they could put an LPR on the NT (keep the lower profile body vs the DM).

Run the LPR out the front of the ASA like an old matrix (under the barrel).

wouldnt that hinder the ergonomics which is one of the big things the nt has going for it?

we considered on here for a while, running it under the barrel like the pm7 did and just put a contact pad over it for comfort.

This is tight, and would be nice.. But like someone else said the micro on the NT doesn't bother many people..
