u know whats fun. using a vibe and claiming its a Italian import paintball gun.
give it some fancy name like a
Gandolfini Firenze

pretend its 2000 euros.
wipe the floor with it and watch them say you have a better gun.

trade it for the ego and say Something like you'd rather a new player use it.

Sell the ego and by a new "Gandolfini Firenze" Repeat.

In reality i don't care. they grow bored of losing and sell there stuff on the nation or CL for cheap.

Is it jealousy? Is it because it looks undeserved? Why is it that the site of this burns us so badly?

For me, I always felt they haven't earned the right/need to carry around such a nice gun. I carried around a spyder TL-R for 2 years before the Ion came out and I saved up for that gun. I'm always glad I started this way. I got a chance to learn how to move, snap, maintain my gun, and just appreciate the game. Something I feel the spoiled kids won't learn properly.

On teh other hand, look at most rentals have to deal with today. Most recballers are carrying out the nicest guns to play walk ons. Although I have nothing against this, and do it myself quite a bit, I can understand newbs needing the fastest guns to compete.

1) They haven't worked a day in their life and don't know what ethics are because they whine and mommy and daddy buy them ****.
2) They have this attitude like they are better than everyone and the world owes them something.
3) They think that the gun makes the player rather than practice and skill.
4) It's mostly their attitude, in my opinion.

I guess im still considerd a young gun and iv been playing for about 6 years now and i have bought every single gun i own and treat them with respect. I took my 15 yearold neighbor to play one weekend and he liked it. the next week i asked him again and i went to pick him up to go to the feild and he came out of his house with all new gear his dad got him. he got a dye rotor dp G4 carbon tank. and it was only his 2nd time going to play. we got to the field and i was tuneing my etek and getting ready to play. so we got on the field and when the game started he started spraying paint at 30bps when the limit is 15 then asked me for more paint. the moral of the story is not all young guns are spoiled but sadly some are

However, some people just like quality gear. I know a guy that owns a bunch of high-end guns every year, but his playing skill doesn't reflect how much money he spends on a guns every year.

As long as they aren't little A-holes or Douche's about it then I'm fine with them having nice gear.
I know a lot of guys who just collect guns.

To me it's just attitude, my gear is better than yours, so I'm better than you.

I'm always friendly and helpfull when I can be. Hate when people are rude.

I find attitude is everything but I can't help but feel that a 15 year old who has been playing a month doesn't deserve that brand new high-end. It is all about skill, respect, and sportsmanship.

This isn't a problem that is unique to paintball btw, it applies to almost every sport and hobby. Airsoft, R/C, lacrosse, football, soccer, gaming, ect ect ect. The list goes on but like others have stated before, it helps drive prices DOWN.

All in all regardless of the gear they have its how they treat the gear and how they act that makes them great not the gear itself.

let's look at the operative word in the title...spoiled. Think on that word. When you hear the word used in a different context, such as with fruit, it means it is bad, not repairable, good for nothing but throwing away...or in some cases, such as bananas, parts of the fruit is still good and can be salvaged to make other foodstuffs. Luckily, these spoiled little kids are more like bananas than apples.

Spoiled kids have a different mindset, have always had that mindset, and are used to having everything given to them and being able to do/say whatever they want to their parents with no consequences. This makes it hard for people who "bust their balls" for the things they want to get along with a spoiled kid. The spoiled kid thinks "I can treat my parents like dirt and they still give me what I want, why are these people any different?"

I understand the viewpoint that parents buying high end gear for noobs is good for the sport because it increases revenue for the manufacturers, but at the same time, the attitude of these spoiled kids can work against the sport. A renter coming out that's thinking of saving up for a mid-end sees these spoiled kids and can very easily be turned off from the sport by these little *******s. Because they have all matching high end gear, these new renters think that these jerks are the face of paintball and decide they don't want to be associated with them.

In short, no matter how much money they bring in, or how cheap you can buy their mistreated gear for when they get tired of getting owned, spoiled kids ARE bad for the sport, as they can chase off potential good players.

My .02.

It's not about them buying their equipment, it's when a kid whines and begs or has an attitude and parents give in and buys em a CSL or Planet Eclipse SLS. It's the kids that aren't grateful and are disrespectful that make a bad name for younger players -and it's not all of them, don't get me wrong.
