Astronomy is neat and all, but, for as cool as the professor was, it wasn't presented in a way that made the material actually interesting.

Biochemistry II with Fusao Takusagawa. 5 hourly exams, 25 multiple choice questions a piece, and a 50 question multiple choice final, for a total of 150 points in the entire class. Insanely hard multiple choice, and incomprehensible lectures, all to learn little to nothing. I got a 57% in the class and ended up getting a B, only by the grace of God. Honestly don't know how this teacher hasn't been replaced yet! Ridiculous.

Worst class was Astronomy Concepts and Stars with 500 people in a ****ing auditorium. I thought it would be learning facts about planets, but it was formula based. Where is this star if this rotation happens during this season? I barely pulled off a C. Not to mention the prof acted all alpha male to try to control such a big group.

If you take a class with Takusagawa, you're going to have a bad time. Did you ever have De Boer?

Calc 2, condensed 9am-11am m-f. Wouldnt be too horrible, if it didn't have graded homework, and I didn't work 9pm-5am sunday-thursday.
Failure (need a C+ or better for transfer) of this one summer class will set me back at least 1 semester, I'm already borderline ****ed being 1 math behind, 2 will kill me. Do I quit my job and have no money for a year, or fail this class and rack up another semester of student debt?

"God awful" doesn't relate to difficulty. Intro to Psych was an insanely easy class, but it was still ****ing terrible.

Philosophy.
Absolutely the most miserable class I have ever taken.

Yeah, was definitely one of those love it or hate it classes. I've personally never been a fan of that kind of stuff. Teacher was a bit of a self-promoter and the recitation was brutal.
Statistics didn't bother me. Then again, the teacher was a damn cool guy.

anthro 101: introduction to cultural anthropology. i felt qualified for a bachelors degree in the subject after i finished the course. most difficult A- i have ever received. 3 hours of HW each night. 400 dollars for the TWO required textbooks, one written by the professor the other by his boss the department head. so morally disgusting. the exams were 6 page papers. required attendance, no excuses. this was at community college. the professor was a total neckbearded geek. he actually shaved the neckbeard about halfway thru and he looked even worse without it. every day he talked about LARPing and the renfair and how he made his own clothes for both. every time he spoke i wanted to shoot myself in the mouth (with a real gun not paintball). i respected his passion and enthusiasm for his field but for a required class it was total BS to force a bunch of engineering, econ & finance, and physics, bio, and chem majors to sit through. subject matter was actually fairly interesting but it was so much busy work that it was just a hassle and lost all interest in the BS. anthro would actually make a fairly decent and interesting minor if not for being completely useless in the professional world. it was just completely annoyining to make a bunch of people who are eventually going to have real careers sit thru that complete waste of life of a class.
