Haha I gave up a long time ago. I haven't built a computer in years, unless you count rebuilding this one when I got the i7 stuff last summer.

Appreciate the feedback guys, didn't want to spark up a war though. Would anyone have any suggestions to modify that list to get the absolute most bang for my buck. I'll defiantly switch cards and also look into micro center for picking up the i5, would there be a more preferable combo out there for cpu, gpu, mobo, memory and power supply at the 700.00 price point? So many choices! Its great but mind numbing at times! Thanks Again

I would recommend the setup I got, but it comes with an HDD and case. However, it costs $800 and comes with the i5-2500k, that same ram 8gb, EVGA GTX560ti 2gb, 500gb 7200rpm hdd, and a coolermaster 600w PSU.

Buy one to be cool? Nah... But to get an SSD for what you can benefit from it... That's cool...

At this point with selecting the 560 ti akward suggested with shipping and taxes comes out to 788.36
pretax and shipping amount was 722.96 I can swing for tax and shipping just wanted to stay at the 700ish price point before tax and shipping.

I saw that deal when I was selecting the 2500k, I like what I see however I really don't need a case at this point and time. Have an older case waiting for this new build.

I mite just have to, it did seam like a great deal and I suppose I could just sell off the case? You purchased the combo with the micro-atx rite? I'm giving myself about a week to decide, if I could get a better mobo or other parts for cheaper then the combo deal I'd be more willing to do that. Like I said I have a case, HD and optical drive ready to roll. Thanks for your help Akward!

I don't know much about AsRock mobos, but I really like my Asus. The UEFI bios makes everything so easy.

AsRock mobos have a habit of not working out of the box, although they've been slightly better as of late.

Haha unfortunately I used my free trial of shop runner up last time I ordered from newegg. And on that note micro center has the 2500k for 179.99 so I'm going to go in and pick that up today!

realtec 2.67 the newest ones for most mb (hd audio drivers) real teck has in the software called auto sensing ports that only turn on the ports that it see speakers or head phones plugged into. look into the audio control pannel and see if it shows your front pannel as a et of audio out ports. if it dont you have to tweak that drivers or software to see the front ports.

No problem. The case it comes with is actually pretty nice, I like mine a lot. Yeah it's a micro atx board, but it is also pretty nice. It has lots of ports and is pretty user friendly.
The gpu is the best part. I'm having no problem running skyrim, fear 3, mw3, and all other new games in my collection.
It benchtests above base model GTX570ti cards too

It auto detects the front ports, which was becoming a pain in the *** because it kept popping up every couple seconds. Don't know why. Maybe it didn't have a full connection?

Which front ports? The USB's or the Audio Ports?

RealTek auto detects the audio ports. All the usb's work just fine.

You might want to try disconnecting the cable that goes from the Front Audio ports, then reconnecting it. Also try downloading the latest Realtek Audio drivers.

I have tried reconnecting a few times. I will check to see if I have the most recent drivers. I probably don't as I think I just used the CD that came with the mobo.
