To awkward: "i would probably look at the HAF 922 its on sale but was a great case a few years ago the one you have now is nice but the haf has a huge 200 on the side panel but either is good the case you have selected there has 3.0 USB support on the front panel but your motherboard i dont believe has a connection for it to utilize that feature of the case, and the coolermaster power supply i would go with a corsair TX650 i think it might be 10 bucks more but if your getting a bundle deal then i am assuming you cant swap out components. other than that you cant complain looks like a good build."

To paintball king: The monitor you could get a cheaper one 288.00 is kinda steep.. and the case is nice case but if your trying cut costs i would look around some more (HAF 922, Thermaltake has some nice ones, In-win makes a nice case the dragon rider.) The GPU you might want to look at the AMD 6850's they are at the same price point but offer better performance than the 550ti here is a link discussing the difference

Yeah, I can't change parts sadly, but it's a pretty solid deal.

This GPU sounds amazing.

With the included components, would it be a solid and reliable computer? I can replace the case and PSU in about a month if it will be an issue.

As is, I won't be overclocking it. It will run stock with modified win7 ultimate. Once I can afford liquid cooling and learn some more, then I'll OC.
Stick with the EVGA gpu... because EVGA has one of the best customer service if you have issues.

You might need a bigger case if you want to do a custom watercooling loop for the cpu and gpu, unless you mount the rad(s) externally. However, a corsair h80 closed loop might work in that case with no issues if you are only liquid cooling the cpu. It won't be any better than larger aircooled heatsink, but it will be a lot quieter.

There are two monitors there for $144 each.

If you are referring to the Corsair case, I have decided to go with a CoolerMaster. I posted a link to that above.

I will look into the GPU. Beings that it is AMD, does it play well with an Intel based motherboard and cpu? I was really trying to stay with EVGA for their customer service.

I'll order a new case when I can afford water cooling and a better PSU.

Otherwise, I think this is my best bet.

Any chance one of you folks has an extra dvd-rw drive or monitor laying around? It would be nice to buy those used. I doubt my wife will let me spend the extra cash since just the tower is costing me $800.

Neat I'm sticking with the combo. That way I can blame newegg if it ends up sucking

Fortunately, I'm so new I don't have bias towards brands. I just listen to you guys.

So, what is this nvidia 3D vision surround and how do I make it happen?

Edit: I need to sell this damn laptop in my sig so I can make the order faster. I'm tired of waiting lol.

sorry I didnt see those. yes the AMD GPU's will run very well with intel especially the setup u have there if you decided to look into the 6850's or 6870's which i would recommend. XFX is a pretty solid brand just get one with higher clock 800+ mhz. the only issues i believe have been AMD CPU motherboards and running SLI but they was a while ago. AMD makes a good GPU as does Nvidia but in your case for the money the 6850 would perform better for your money.

192GB would be very cost effective in that board.

That's a good point. 8 gig sticks are really pricey.

Here you go, 80 PCIe 3.0 lanes. I suspect that this board does not support SLI, though...
