Make sure you use name brand batteries in this gun!!

Hey guys I just wanted to let everyone know that this gun should always be used with a reliable name brand battery. When I got my gun my local shop put some cheezy battery in it, and when ii got home to test it out the gun didnt fire peoperly. I took it back to the shop and the guy thought that it was acting weird, so he tested the volatage of the battery. He said it was a bit low and tried another one. That bettery worked better but still had issues. He then got a duracell battery and the gun worked perfectly. He said that the proto rails were like that too, but he didnt know about the extcys being like that, and told me to make sure i use a good battery.

Good thing my dad gets engergizer industrial batteries from his job =D

Lesson learned USE GOOD BATTERIES

Yep....We always recommend using Energizers, Duracells or good rechargeable batteries.

Before you make any adjustments or tear it apart. The battery should be the 1st thing you should check.

9 outta 10 times, when a eNVy/G-1/eXTCy are "not working" it is the battery.

If you lube the bolt and change the battery before a days play, you will never run into issues with your GOG marker.

Oh jebus, energizer industrials are horrid.

Semi-surprisingly, the normal coppertop duracells work best in pretty much every single 9v application in paintball. I've blasted through probably 30 different brands as well.

Furious batteries are bomb, but I only had half of one to mess with.

How long do the batteries last, sitting wise and using. I've used my gun 2 times, the first time i took it, it worked fine. The second time, a week later, it was having first shot drop off and started to not work at all. Thanks in advance. If you got any GOG tips feel free to email me at jensend614@gmail.com

A helpful hint is to NOT leave the battery in the marker between playing. The board is constantly sucking juice from the battery, even when turned off. First thing you should do after a days play is remove the battery and clean the marker.

Why are the GOG markers so sensitive to batteries? Do the boards/solenoids require more juice?

Just because the battery is a 9volt, doesn't mean it's putting out 9 volts. All guns have the same issues with batteries draining them.

With this discussion of batteries, anyone ever use Duracell Procells ? I can get 12 for 22.00 + shipping and was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with them in their equipment ?

Most people do not know that batteries actually have a shelf life to them. Just like food, the closer to the expiration date they get, the worse off they are. I honestly suggest you go to a store like Home Depot or Lowes or any store that has a high turnover rate for batteries and buy there.

We use Pro-Cells almost exclusively since one of our teammates gets them at an absolutely stupid discount. I've never had an issue with them but like Josh says, it's good policy to always remove or at least unplug the battery when the gun will be sitting for a while.

No thanks on the re-chargeable's , they are a little too pricey considering I can get energizer NiMH's for half of what GoG is charging.

The Red ones or the Black ones ? I can get the red ones about 10.00 cheaper then black ones.
