t8 pistol chopping paint

i recently got a t8 pistol and it chops around 3-4 rounds per mag. i am using the red compression spring for first strike rounds, but the pistol even chops 1-2 first strike rounds per magazine. does anyone have any ideas on what i should do.

Although its probably not your main problem, note that red compression spring should only be used for FS rounds, they'll crush regular paint.

Anyways,
- are you using all proper parts from the FS conversion kit?
take a look at this vid to make sure u got all the right parts installed

- how many rounds are your putting into your mag? Not sure if its possible, but if u over load your mags, they may create some pretty nasty feeding issues.

The bolt for the FS is pretty easy to identify by the beveled edge. The soft touch has a round bumper in the middle. Have you tried difftrent types of paint? I was using some Feildpaint here locally and pretty much all the balls were breaking in the breech no matter the volocity. I did use the detents of my old barrel and it cut down to only half the balls breaking.

The anti-double feed detents would be the next place to check.

Especially if you got the pistol used, sometimes people have modified the detents to stick much farther into the barrel for very small paint. If it's too far, or now has a sharp edge, you could run into breakage problems.
