Just saw this on my local shop's Facebook page. Looks like GoG is bringing back the stainless steel Freak inserts in all of the current sizes (.675 clear up to .695). Awesome job GoG!

technically I think they would've need to actually go somewhere to be back
since all SP did was to fire all their employees, declare bankruptcy and then
just turn around and open a "different" company - with the same products,
mind you - I don't think this classifies as a "comeback"

SS inserts haven't been made for some time now, only been the aluminum ones.

Heard a month or two ago GoG was supposedly getting ready to make the SS's again. Good to see they followed through.

Any word on price?

The Luxe stock barrel takes freak inserts, so yes many people still use freak inserts. Along with deadlywind barrels, Bored phantom barrels(or any larger barrel bored for inserts).

It's good to see SS inserts back. A tad pricey, but I can see the nitch. I'll be picking up a kit when prices settle again.

It's amazing how many people aren't sponsored and can shoot whatever barrel they choose. I've got a Freak that I use all the time because I like the modularity.

Glad to see the stainless inserts again. At that price point, I might pick up the .677 and .675 in SS to round out the rest of my set.

i could see using it in the dealywind barrels. through trade i have an old freak with a 16" tip. i bet it weighs twice as much as my UL, maybe more. If it weren't for that i would use it, with a 14" on it.

SS is better than Al. as well since its size fluctuates less with temperature changes

Some of us don't follow the hype and buy "the next best thing" when the old stuff works just as well. IMO the Freak is still the best kit out there.
