Tournament Gun Settings

Can I shoot semi as long as I'm at the correct cap or do I have to have a true PSP setting on my board?

And then can I do normal PSP ramp instead of that three shot psp mode?

If the rules of the event stat that you are allowed to shoot PSP ramp, then I'm sure that if you shoot semi, as long as it is at the correct cap, that it's no big deal. But just in my opinion, it's easier to just shoot PSP ramp, it's easier to hold a lane and it's one less thing that you have to think/worry about.

You will be allowed to shoot semi if your gun doesnt have psp. If your gun has psp 3 shot use that over regular psp ramp. Psp 3 shot is better.

yes you will be able to use semi just has to be capped but really take any advantage you can and shoot psp if they allow it.

I'm not sure why you would want semi over ramp, but I'm sure any tournament would allow it.

My back-up gun does not have ramp, and I'd rather not pay for a board that has it. I also despise the 3 shot PSP ramp. I feel like I lose control of my gun.

Actually, the ROF cap isn't everything. There is a timing between when the gun is in semi to when it switches to ramp mode. If you gun goes to ramp mode before you reach that point, you could get a penalty.

To OP, best thing to do is shoot the mode that the tournament says to shoot. Hopefully, your main gun won't go down and you won't have to wory about it. I would also ask the tournament director or head referee about shooting a different mode to make sure it is ok as long as it meets the tournament rules. No one else is going to be able to make a judgement on whether any other modes are legal except those two.
