Well, he didn't capitalize it so I didn't know if it was a ****ing book or a magazine or some sort of article. Could be anything. I'll check my library on base, although it's super small so I highly doubt it will have it. But it's good information to have.

Again, book titles are usually capitalized and underlined. So. That would make you just as retarded as me. However, I thank you for the good information. I will hunt down that book. Although I've heard the training at A&S changes a lot. I'm not sure if the training is any different from what it will recommend in the book. But again thanks.

At what point did you fail to go, "hmm, I wonder what this un-capitalized title is, maybe I'll ****ing google it, it must be on the net." ????
Must be that new military initiative they are teaching these days.

Um not sure what the LAT move limit is. But I'm definitely not LAT moving to Infantry, that's for sure. As far as Infantry tactics, our BN does field ops and brushes up on their infantry skills every once in a while. I'm a Motor T Operator attached to a mechanic shop. So I kind of got ****ed on my duty station. I'm with very few operators. In 3 months I go to 1st LAR bn. I don't plan on putting in my package for Marsoc for another 9 months at least, so I should get a little more training at my next duty station. As far as combat deployments, no. I'm with a Logistics Battalion. I hate every bit of it. I've done the standard vacations to Thailand and Korea though. However, that counts for nothing in anyone's book. But it did include some good infantry training, along with Jungle Warfare and Mountain Warfare.

Ah, I see. Yes, I googled it and it was the first option. Dumb on my part. It's just a very vague title. The title of the book is Get Selected! for Special Forces
So...Thanks I will be purchasing that. Despite all the pointless flaming in this thread I'm actually getting a lot of the information I need.

....you didn't even google it first? ****, you're lazy. I google'd it before I posted, to make sure it was in the top hits.
...and do you remember when you enlisted, and you wanted to go infantry, and we told you to wait... But no, your recruiter got you. And you were too stupid to take our advice. Kind of put me off toward helping you.
...and you obviously haven't changed much.

Now do you see why most of us are giving you a hard time? A type personalities with the ability to improvise, make decisions on the fly all whilst having enough commonsense will greatly improve your chances at making it. Something as little as being able to remember to google something before you ask a question goes a long way. You think WE'RE being hard on you? Try and ask that **** over at www.professionalsoldiers.com or Socnet and they will eat you alive.

You post some stupid **** over there, and someone will be knocking on your front door to distract you while the others are sneaking in the rear to throw you into a burlap sack with some rocks, then deposit your body quietly in the river.

I don't understand why people get so emotional and "hurt" whenever we tell them how it is.
What the **** is our military coming to? Oh yeah....benefit leeches and kids raised on Call of Duty.
