I have to agree with that the composite parts are just fine. If it's good enough for Glock, then it's good enough for me.
TBH, I'd bet most people wouldn't even notice that the frame was a composite if they weren't told it. The rubberized panels take up most of the space your hand contacts the frame anyway.

I've got a prototype bolt on the way. I've got a number of projects in the pipeline though so it might take a while to go into production based on testing. Jack did an excellent job on the etha though, so I can't say mine will be much of an improvement until I can really test it.

I work at a shop and use a lot of tools with composite parts such as my snap on impact which push 800 foot lbs of torque and have had no problems. Plus it doesn't get half as cold as similar tools or pb gats made of metal. Smooth feeling and shooting gat. Great job PE and jack.

I've used my etha once. And quite honestly, my only complaint so far is that I haven't gotten a chance to use it enough to develop a real feel for the gun.
Changing setting is a little bit more work than with the ego/geo boards since you're deciphering colors and flashes, but once it's done it works just fine. I've never used a game timer and I've never adjusted any setting at the field. It's a set it and forget it kind of thing.
Only real thing you might need to remember.
Blue = eyes on and ball detected.
Yellow = eyes on, no ball.
Purple = eyes off.

I thought it was pretty cool of them to put a color guide inside the right grip.

Too true Jack.
I hope you didn't take my post as that it was truth, just what I heard and wanted some confirmation on the similarity of the parts.
I think many of the "similarity" posts are used because some find it tough to describe exactly what the Etha feels like/shoots like.
I compare it to the Mag personally, because the feedback while firing the marker to me feels much like an emag at similar rates of fire.
It's always good to have your expert knowledge on the items you designed.
that said

I'm curious Jack, how often if ever do any of the aftermarket companies even discuss the original design purpose with you before making an "upgrade"?

It should be 3 pulls at 5bps to kick in, then have a 1 second restart which gives 3-shot burst as long as the trigger is pulled once every second.

Is there anyway to get the Etha to stop kicking like a jack hammer. It's unreal.
