Maybe with some work and JB weld you could make it fit a Geo.

I was talking about the shroud, not the Geo! I would never wish harm on a Geo!

Still no reply from TechT on an aftermarket bolt.

Anyone else have info on upcoming upgrades from other manufacturers?

will a lighter bolt reduce the sound signature and shot vibration?

We also chose not to use an aluminium bolt due to potential wear issues with the bolt spring, the breech and the bolt guide.

just because Jack doesn't suggest it, doesn't mean that it's not possible. all respect for PE (Jack Wood included) for creating many great markers- including the Etha, but aftermarket bolts can (and will) be produced for the Etha.

Wherever aftermarket manufacturers see a substantial need, they will try their best to fill it, i'm sure.

No response back from Virtue on an upgraded board from the Etha either.

Has anyone tried a TechT MRT bolt for the Mini/Axe in the Etha yet, I've heard they are virtually the same bolt.
It'd be interesting to hear from someone who owns both Axe and Etha

That most definitely WILL NOT WORK!

Just because someone on the interwebz says something is "virtually the same" does not make it so. In fact, it doesn't make them anything like.

It's plain wrong that people say stupid things like "it's just the same as a Mini" or "man, it's just an Automag" when the reality is the Etha works in a completely different manner to both those guns.

A spring pushing the bolt back does not make all guns the same.

As for aftermarket bolt, yes I am sure people will make them. They always do. Whether they are an actual improvement on the stock bolt is a completely different question. Understanding why the original manufacturer made something as it is is the first and most crucial step in improving on it.....

could not agree more jack, i have no issue with this gun i dont see why people want upgrades as soon as a gun hits the market, only thing i would like to see it as stated before a possiable color kit for eye covers maybe lever on feed neck other then that there is nothing really needed, if your not happy with 7 to 8 pods on a 68/4500 tank, then i implore you go back to the old school marker that could not even get 3 or 4 off that tank. maybe a little apppreciation would be accepted then,

I see nothing wrong with the marker at all I love the thing. I have a friend who bad mouths it all the time because I only spent $370 on it when he just bought a marker for $600 so of course his logic is it's better then mine. The kid doesn't do any research on any markers he buys he just goes off of hear-say most of the time.

That's what pisses me off about those kiddies who bad mouth Composite parts on markers. They would have never survived playing paintball in the 80's and 90's if it bothers them that much. Countless markers back then had composite grip frames. Anyways, the only PE marker I won't buy is the Etek 3. That marker is so damn loud when it is fired it's annoying.

I totally agree with this. I have an Etha and have about 7 or 8 cases through it. I love the thing to death. I have several other guns, including an 08 Ego, an ETEK 2 and an NT. None of those guns have seen any love since I got my Etha. People say it feels cheap in the hands, I call baloney on that. I owned a Geo+ for awhile and the Etha feels very similar! And the whole idea that the plastic parts make the gun feel cheap and make it less reliable is crap. I work on 25 million dollar Navy jets that have similar composites all over them! These jets live a much tougher life than any paintball gun!

Thanks to Jack and the rest of PE for making a great, affordable marker!

I agree. I never quite understood some peoples' ignorance to composite materials.

if it's good enough for real firearms, it's good enough for my paintball marker lol

no other marker has ever felt as ergonomically correct for me as the etha does- beautifully designed!
