Good question, I think an AM kit like the etek3s would be pretty nice.
One of the issues people have with it is just the toy-like feeling so having that option would make a lot of people happy.

Not heard of any factory or third party upgrades at this time, beyond the 'bolt-on' modular kits that Planet have referred to.
Nicky has stated in another thread that there are no plans currently to release an AM kit for the Etha.

So we have to hope for an aftermarket AM kit. On the other side.. The used material is better than everyone makes it look like..

I checked out the etha at the local pb store a few times. The grip frame seems way stronger than my etek3 LT was. It feels nice and solid I really don't see a reason to change it. It's not going to help the performance one bit.

I was actually hoping for a better board such as Virtue or Tadao.

Those are entirely up to those companies, not to P.E., it's a brand new product so expect to see virtue or tadao or seventh element all over it in 2012.. especially with it being a low-mid priced marker, which are even more likely to be upgraded with a board than a high end.

Seen a post on Facebook from a place called ETHA by planet eclipse...or something close to that. Supposedly board (led) type....barrel...and trigger sometime soon. This does not confirm it but its all I've heard in terms of upgrades at the moment.he said that it surpassed their expectations. I'll look for it and edit this post. third post down talks about it. First post shows something for the shaft 4

We'd love your feedback on the board.
We are always looking to improve every aspect of our guns and the board is a key element of that.
If you'd rather, you can PM me your thoughts.

I actually think that - compared to the Etek3 board for example - the Etha board is better.
As someone who answers questions on the forums, I think that the Etha board will generate a lot less confusion than the Etek3 board.
When the Etek was first released, I liked the fact that it offered 0.1 increment adjustments for several parameters, on a simple LED board. A lot of stock LED boards don't offer that level of adjustment. I did however find that I was answering a lot of questions in relation to the fact that you had to enter a tens, units and tenths value for every parameter, even if that parameter (firing mode for example) could only ever have a value in units.
The Etha board has improved on this by only having units and tenths to adjust (the unit value can run in to the teens), and parameters with only a unit value do not require you to add a value for tenths.
It could be argued that it would be simpler to drop the tenths altogether, but that would reduce the opportunity to fine tune; or to have the tenths adjustment in a different menu, but if each parameter that could be adjusted in tenths had to have it's own adjustment in tenths, things could get confusing. I think the Etha board strikes a good balance between simplicity and adjustability - you just have to get used to the adjustment method.
When the Etek3 was released, I was again impressed with the decision to include ramping set up parameters, rather than preset ramping modes, but this again caused some confusion. Several times I have been asked why PSP would not allow a three shot burst, and I had to explain that you needed to increase the ramp restart delay to 01.0 seconds in order for the burst to function - by default, the ramp restart was set to 00.0s, so the marker stopped ramping as soon as you stopped pulling the trigger, and the burst wouldn't function as a result.
Having the preset ramping modes reduces versatility to some degree, and could be an issue if PSP or Millennium mode were to change again in terms of ramp activation rate, reset time, or what have you, but does make things simpler for people who don't know what the various settings do.

I don't like the way it ramps. It makes me work to hard. I want it to ramp like my Ego and Geo. I think my Eteks ramped the same until I put the immortal boards in them. I just want it to go 123 ramp without having to maintain the 5bps

I agree with this guy. I don't like having to shoot 5 or so balls before it ramps.

You have to shoot three balls in semi auto at 5 pulls per second or faster to activate ramping. If the marker isn't ramping prior to the fifth or sixth trigger pull, you aren't pulling the trigger fast enough.
Admittedly, boards that eliminate ramp activation trigger pull rate altogether, and just have the ramp activation shot count are easier, as are boards with a reduced ramp activation pull rate (Ego10s, 11s and Geo2s for instance, still have a ramp activation pull rate, but it can be lowered to 3pps), but it could be argued that it makes it too easy to ramp, and could reduce safety as a result.
All I can say is, if maintaining five pulls per second is difficult under some circumstances, you're lucky you never played Millennium rules when the ramp activation pull rate was set at 7.5pps!
