That's what makes my 2000 eliminations even a more amazing feat....I'm only actually on the playing field a very short couple of times during the entire event! (actually, a 70 year old guy can only take a couple of the very long hikes required to play this game. After that, I require a LOT of down time hangin' out with my friends)

This is my first time going to LL so I actually have no idea how much paint I'll be going through
The only thing I'm really worried about is if I'm going to end up out of air with my tiny 3000psi tank :/

Going to say yes to this. Hopper+3 pods maybe a little more/less per game. I would run out of air for sure.
Full 3+6 harness per game if i could go... Probably about 4-5 cases for me Since I can't then 0.

How much money do you guys drop on this event? X.x I'm planning on 2 cases, car rental + gas, registration fee, 1 tank pass, and staying at the cheapest place, probably motel 6, that i can get.
Some of you are flying, carrying multiple tanks, and shooting 8 cases of $75 mabalizer? Are you staying at the 4 seasons too? Lol. I'd order 5 cases and shoot until my fingers went numb if they had a cheaper grade of paint. I just recently started a decent job though, maybe at living legends 6 I'll have more money to spend so I can halt advances too.

I only preordered one case. I know I want to shoot more to break in these new guns. I'm sure I'll pick up one or two more cases but we will see how it goes.

Yeah, you need a 4500 man. No need getting deep into enemy territory after a good firefight just to run out of air. It could seriously dampen your bragging rights for later on.
I pre-ordered 2 cases, but I'll probably have to pick up a third on Sunday.

Really? I can't imagine playing one of these not in semi. I'd run out of paint to fast and have t make the long walk back to pod back up.
It's actually why I prefer to play with a mech gun.

I'm with John on this one. I have all of my guns set to semi. I could imagine going through cases of paint way to fast.

I didnt know until 2 or 3 nights ago. Its 13 cap all modes, semi users have to have gun capped at 13. if its a mech refs will watch ROF, RT users if shooting to fast will be asked to slow it down or face consequence. I cant take my cockers now bc they cant be capped, so im stuck with only g6r and ripper 2.5, so think im just gonna take G6r and buy a gun there.

ROF, "locking mechanisms"
I'll be honest, I've had my Dye NT for 2 years now and only this week set it to PSP.... NEVER ran anything but stock semi, intentionally..... I have been out messing around and a hopper goes REAL QUICK in PSP mode. I thought the same thing: keep it at semi so I don't run out of paint on that monstrously huge field. Now that I know others are considering the same thing, maybe that's what I'll do.
I'm not afraid of buying more paint.... it's the carrying the paint and/or running out of paint during game play that worries me.
Also, I read in the rules that we will need a "locking mechanism" on our programmable guns.... I have two Dye NTs that obviously could be altered on the field, not that I'd want to do that because it is against the rules of course. But what type of locking mechanism are we talking about? Where do I pick a couple of those up? Has anyone else had to have one of these locking mechanisms in the past?
