I'm not a fan of all this hybrid stuff though. It's fine other people like it and get to feel all smug about themselves for it. But please stay away from my beloved supercar lol.
Like the Prius's and what not though. Don't they get like up to 40 MPG? I could buy a 95 Civic HX and get that, and then only spend like 4 grand for a really nice one and nothing on insurance. Or my Si which gets well into 30's anyways when I'm driving smooth, and it's still a cool car in my opinion

@yelo
on the car audio thing don't get me started. I may be a novice mechanic but I am a professional musician/ audio technician, and I can tell you the majority of car audio manufactures don't know dick about audio.
Presets, pre amps, sub woofers tell most of the story. In the car world even the best are pretty garbage, and ridiculously over priced because they are marketed for the car market.
Cheap speakers with good presets/ pre amps make a world of difference.
Speakers have paper cones, and are all the wrong sizes. Then they don't give you the right eq options.
like most people assume bass boost makes bass kick drum rap sound better right? **** lets boost the bass (sub 100 frequencies)
A kick does not sound good until 300ish
Bass guitar sweetspots at 1100
and most music sounds better with a flat eq.
Most of the eq below 100Hz is not audible but feel bass (makes trunk rattle)
The engineer who was paid 100,000 grand per song does a better job than the person at kenwood making minimum wage.
No one pays for HD quality audio, which is why most of them are lacking as well. There is not a single cd player aside from using protools or another computer/ audio setup that can play music in true HD (96K)
example sampling rates
AM Radio: (14-15K)
FM Radio: (16-18K)
XM (19K)
Ipod: (19K)
CD: (24K)
Snake Oil HD Marketing: (22K)
Semi Professional Master Copy CD: (48K)
Vinyl would be in this quality range
Actual HD recording: (96K)
The lower the sample rate the worse. The more compressed overall the worse it sounds

Pretty much any hybrid is not worth the added cost.
Accept maybe a used stock low end Ford Fiesta.
43-45 mpg, not even hybrid, starts at 13K obviously used would be less

I'm sure can build a performance hybrid. but like... Why? lol. I guess it would be different and could still have pretty good performance. Just not something I would do though.
I also no nothing audio, nor have I tried to learn. But hell my damn radio doesn't even connect to my antenna right and I cant get retarded connections to every station. I'm also a cheap *** when it comes to audio though, I don't see a need to spend $400 in speakers when I already have speakers in my car and they make music fine. As for subs, I just think it's annoying how everyone just has to have the loudest bass and try to rattle my house as they go by.
I just want to be able to hear music and not spend a ton on it. I'd rather my car look real nice and have good performance. But I know other people are completely opposite from me lol

exactly.
only car audio thing worth money is a deck when yours dies with more eq options.
a speaker is a speaker is a speaker as long as they keep making them the wrong sizes.

Unfortunately I think my deck is already pretty well dead, or it hates my car or something. But it doesn't connect to the antenna at all, and there's no adapter for them and its not supposed to need one but it sure doesn't work with out one. So I just have some adapters that made it work mostly kinda taped together lol.
The air assist valve sounds pretty cool for the G6R I'll have to look it up. I haven't heard about it yet. I would like to play with a g6r some to tho

i have a pioneer head unit in my truck, i like it a lot too. decent eq & presets, clean looking faceplate /oled screen, and the usb cable i ran into the glove box is pretty handy. i just have a 2gb jump drive plugged into it with all my music on it.
however my 2 rear door speakers never worked, and i think the front passenger door one is dyeing. dash speakers work though. 3/6 ftw?

Nerve is supped up impulse from smart parts.
They are rare because when they released the sft they were trying to meet deadlines so it got pushed back to 04, and between the ion, sft, and impulse the nerve being the SL of impulses did not see sales. So they were very limited. The private label ones even more so.
They shoot nice. Here is a vid of a different nerve: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMGSH...iNRlzXxSvFAmRk
Not mine but still a nerve.
The story on the half nasty:
Because SP lost interest in the nerve they had left over PL parts (as most PL SP parts were still made in house) so the body is stock nerve but all the parts are milled.

yup really nice impulse basically
Mainly did the trade because it will be easier to sell than a race prostock halfie.
Plus his has freak barrel.
mine is halfblock prostock body, shocktech internals, race frame, f1 noid
nothing special just something different.
I have a feeling I won't like it more than the viking, but it will be one of those things that will sell quick, or in a few years be worth more due to rarity.
Although it does shoot well at 136 in the vid above. Loud but shoots nice indeed.

I had one for a few months. Sold it last year, when I got out of the Navy because I didn't want to make the 115 a month payment while on unemployment. Kind of wish I kept it.
It was a 86, with an automatic (blah). I had ripped out the carpet in preparation to put bedliner down. I zuk-modded it, put 31x10.5x15 mud tires on it, and threw an upgraded head and cam on it (I hate the 22re). Then i sold it to a guy in my neighborhood for exactly what I paid for it, lol.

I'm a few posts behind on the conversation.
Let's see...
Hate Nerves, hate their ****ty parts and velveeta-grade aluminum, hate Smart Parts.
I'm also not into hybrids. Why would I want to weigh down my car with heavy, short-lived batteries? You only get a few years of good fuel efficiency before they wear out. And I really don't understand the environmental hybrid push - manufacturing those batteries creates more emissions than running a gas-powered car for a decade or two. If anyone in this country was serious about it, we'd all be using biodiesel.
For me, I'm content with the 30mpg average I get out of my Mini (would be more, but I tend to drive spiritedly).

nice
valid. I dislike SP as well. For a lot of reasons, but nerve is easy sell than that particular race.
