Why does the frame effect offloading ability ? I remember they liked cop cars to be body on frame so when they hit cars and spun them out you could straighten the body on the crown Vic but not have the frame ****ed up

I base my opinions mainly on off road ability by the stock clearance, and shocks.
These are huge differences as well as tires, drivetrain, differentials.
Frame isn't too relevant aside from tow capacity and getting unstuck, which is why I like full frames. A crown Vic was on a truck frame.

Sorry for the broken ness im replying between classes on iPhone.
The frame question as to off road ability.
Nissan having a stronger frame allows you to use picks for body lifts safely.
If you read any off road mag they are very anti jeep body lift because it is unsafe. Xterras also use more picks so it is more evenly distributed. Body lift allows bigger tires, which mean more surface area/ traction.
Now to compare offload ability only by class.
In the suv sub 40k range
Ford offers a barebones explorer, and escape
Nissan has the xterra
Toyota has the 4runner
Chevy has a Tahoe
Jeep has compass, patriot, liberty, wrangler, and grand Cherokee
Xterra has more clearance stock than the above.
A better drive train/ 4x4 drive locking diffs
Bolstering adjustable shocks
BFG Ta ko stock
Most towing capacy aside from explorer.
Horsepower and gas mileage suffer because they use lower gear ratios for climbing purposes.
Most of those aren't offroad worthy anymore.
Ie: the newer 4 runners, pathfinders, tahoes, keeps aside from Cherokee and wrangler etc.
In some cases a wrangler is a good bet, but it doesn't have the reliability, capacity for my crap, towing power I need. Much less coil overs etc.
The xterra has independent front suspension meaning smoother ride on and off road. Also bolstering shocks are simply the best.
So for me the xterra suits my purposes better.
With the Cherokee it's main downfall is reliability. I put 30k plus miles on a vehicle per year. So after 100k I need to be able to keep it healthy.
So for me an xterra is again the better choice, I know how to take care of a car, but with the xterra I have not had any issues ever with drivetrain/ electronic components.
When it comes to offroad trucks:
Speed : Chevy
Towing: ford duty/ Nissan Titan
Offloading: Titan / ford
For light duty:
Speed: Chevy
Towing: Nissan frontier
Offroading: Tacoma pre runner / frontier
Tacoma has most clearance/ features suited to me per package.
There are a lot of things to consider. I like working on the xterra, the ford is a nightmare. I like having something that always runs well, and is extremely capable. I like having the f250 for towing.
That's where I made my decision, although American cars are much cheaper to upgrade. I enjoy most of them but the xterra in my experience will get any where the wrangler will with the capacity of the Cherokee.
When I wrote this I forgot the fj.
I don't like the auto slip diff. By the time it registers to lock its to late. Also bad when hydro planing lol

Haha I don't to much of a choice if my dad decides to go. But Minnesota is definitely the wrong direction for me lol. I would prefer to go somewhere where it is generally warmer.
I don't ski though, or snowboard, don't even care for sledding that much. My girlfriend is dead set on buying some $500 snowboard though lol

Ladder frames have 2 rails that run the length of the vehicle, then cross members that tie it together.

LOL. why would you even THINK that?
Although a sniper for the sniper class would be dope as ****.
Hell, I have a PC, I'll get BF3, then get a paintball mod going for it. All guns are paintball guns.
Of course the engineers will get all the ****ty small inline poppets and dump valves.
as far as cars are concerned, though...
I like Nissan a LOT.
Altima, Maxima, Xterra, Quest and Pathfinder are pretty much the best cars in their classes. biggest bang for your buck, good torque, efficiently built systems, and comfy seating along with a nice and consistent design throughout.
Lots of cars either feel odd or look odd or some peculiar combination of the both along with missing needed features and having too many of other unnecessary ones.
Oh yeah, and Infiniti is awesome too. Not ALL their cars, but the '05-'07 G35s coupes are just delish. I would love to have an '07.
what's lolsy is the IPL G coupe is worse than the G37s, but the IPL G is marketed to be the performance version of the G37s. odd.
oh, and Acuras from 2001-2003 had like the best stereos ever. I don't know why, but they outdo even more recent versions of BMW and Merc speakers.

Morono for nissan cross over IMO
They honestly don't have the mpgs of some brands but normally have better performance/ price.
Like the skyline at 90k that will smoke a 120 k corvette any day

lol.
morono.
they have a convertible rogue SUV.
many lols were to be had.
then I found out Mercedes beat them to it with their G-something boxy SUV from 1999 with the gawdayum convertible top.
Totally looks nazi-tastic. do want.
Speaking of the GTR, they induce black magic. It is one of the lower-powered supercars with one of the worst power:weight ratio, yet ****s on like 1/2 of all supercars out there.
I wish they went back to using an inline 6
R33 FOR LIFE SON!

check out lotus....it will smoke even a gtr and it has 300 horsepower.
Alot of its to do with weight. GTR does have 545 twin turbo charged HP though out of a V6 which drops weight substantially from a v8.
I will say the new juke is a blast to drive. has a built in sports tuner as well.
kind of different looking

....hmm?
the last skyline had 700 horsepower. They cut it to meet emission standard the current ZR1 only has a tad more than that and weighs more.
Also the ZR1 is 30K more.
Also where you getting altima bro?

have you guys seen the Nismo Juke?
I want that thing so hurd.
Here's the other thing, a skyline will always carry soul with it.
That being said, anyone a fan of the new NSX? I like the idea, and as a car I think it's ****ing awesome, but as an NSX, I think it killed the line.

Don't ZR1's cost like almost 200,000 though? I really like the ZR1, but yeah it better kick a cars *** that's not even half the price.
I like the GTR to though, except for altima interior lol. I'd rather have an R34 over the 35, just cause I like the looks more.
My favorite car ever though is the NSX. I WILL have one someday... actually if I have my way I'll have 3 or 4 lol. And I know they have what amounts to an Accord engine. I don't care
As far as cockers go.... I got offered $475 for my Blackout, I'd cover shipping and Paypal. Not gonna happen. It's worth FAR more in my opinion

I HATE the new NSX! I would have no problem with it if they called it something else. But it is in NO WAY an NSX
Call it a GSX for green or something for all I care, and I would think it's pretty neat.... I would never touch one still, but I would also have no problems with it.

my thinking exactly.
I'd buy one, then get a similar nameplate, but it''l say like... buttSX or something peculiarly different.
