Program to help disable useless Windows 7 noise

I'm looking for a program that helps eliminate all the useless background applications that Windows 7 comes with preloaded. A friend of mine uses AMD Fuision Utility, but I run Intel, so I'm looking for something similar for my machine. I know I could do it myself but I'd rather eliminate the chance of disabling a seemingly innocuous app that is actually needed. Thanks

Not sure I know what "useless apps" you're referring to.

Nor do I, frankly, but I know there is some fat that can be trimmed from W7 to free up some ram. I've skimmed through articles on how to do it manually before, but I'm lazy and would rather a program do it for me.

if there's articles to be found on google on the subject, I'm sure there are such programs that could be found on google as well.

Granted, but finding them is harder than you think.

I wouldn't rely on a program to do this automatically, or to do a good job anyway.

Thanks, yea, I'll probably just end up doing it manually. Did a search for "Windows 7 optimizer" and found nothing but shady looking programs.

For the record, I wasn't looking for anyone to do any actual work. I just thought someone might have used a program like the one I was looking for and could give a quick suggestion.

I've gone through that list before and I didn't see much of a benefit. Then again, I need a lot of the services that most people don't.
