i never used it except for the trial awesome and on my cn9-a where i chain fire 3 srm6's into peoples face then run away at 80km/h.

so i feel that since ecm has been added people got dumber. nearly everyone rushes through a tunnel to bottleneck and shoot each other in the back, people just run off completely on their own. or everyone always heads to the bay on forest and lets the other team just blast them from the other shore.

also there are way too many matches where 1 team has no ecm while the other has 3. thats just shameful matchmaking imo.

Matchmaking doesn't take into account loadouts, just weight, so you really can't blame it. I dunno, I really like ECM. I don't use it much, but the cut back on streak cats is definitely welcome. I tend to prefer direct fire weapons, so it doesn't negatively affect me much.

i get what you mena, i tend to use direct fire stuff as well so it doesnt bother me as much in that matter. theres just been more times where our team has 0 ecm and the other has more than 1. maybe im just getting a lot of bad luck lately but its been about 3/5 games have been that way for me the past few days. maybe its that plus the lack of communication in pugs that just makes it feel futile at times.

but yes the streak and lrm spamming is nice not to see every game. even though now cats just use normal srms they at least have to try and aim.

All this talk of ecm is making me want to play. Perhaps I shall try to reinstall it again...

Edit: I did it lol. Should I bother having 2 ssrm2's or should I swap them out for an srm6 as a raven pilot?

I just run a 6. I think Streaks are still ok to have on bigger chassis because they aren't your main damage dealer, but on a light you want all of your weapons to work all of the time.

Current Raven setup is 1Mpulse, 1 ERLlaser, 1 SRM6, ECM, XL280, DHS, and Endosteel.

i see a lot of ravens with streaks and they use them once they jam out other streak boats. personally id rather just use normal srms as you can always fire them. in case you come across another ecm ship.

I dropped the streaks and went with 2 mpls and 1 srm6, xl280, ecm, dhs, endo, ferro. Kinda tempted to fall back to 1mpl, 1lpl, but that'll require me to drop engine size, which is pretty much suicide. I miss the high damage of my lpl lol

I really hope that when they revamp matchmaking they take ping into account. It sucks having a ping <40ms every game and having to go up against a whole team in 200s that jump all around the screen.

lol it's just asking for a stray round to find the ammo cache. All those lrms make for a big boom.

Seriously, legs are all about those heat sinks. Unless you use dhs. I'd rather lose an arm to ammo crit than a leg.

i played mw4. but those games were almost always unlimited ammo and no heat, so everyone just ran around in mad cats/nova cats with 8 large lasers. it was pretty much a 2 shot kill for anything as long as you hit CT both times. no one ever put armor on the legs lol.


but in mwo, all the centy's only have 2 spaces in each leg. not much room for a lot of ammo. whereas the side torsos have like 10 slots. besids that way when i lose a torse i dont lose my heat dispersion. :ddogy:

...except for when i switch from my yen-lo, which has its "big gun" on the right side, to the cn9-a which has all its firepower in the left torso, i tend to forget about which side i need to protect lol.

So, I played with one of my non 3L's today and... yea. Super unhappy at how crappy it is compared to my 3L lol

all i roll are centurions lol. however after the ecm im just not doing well with any of them it feels like. not sure what it is, i unlocked the elite perks for a couple of them, maybe im just not used to the added speed and movement tweaks or something.

stalker comes out tonight. they've got the stats on the forum and the lowest damage of them is 86.....day gunna hurtz

I finally got to the elites in my centurions, I was doing fairly well with my D and AL. I moved on to my hunchbacks and I forgot just how awesome they are. Where I had to whittle a target down with hit and runs with a centy, I can utterly destroy someone with my hunch 4SP or 4P. My 4P in particular is much better than I remembered because of upgrades.
