I thought they put that into one of the trailers, except the messed up the line and put all systems online instead of nominal. They'll probably drop it in for the release, it's such a small detail, plus from the way games start you don't go into a cold mech, you start with a mech that's already sitting there hot and ready to go.

Flamer is broken how? In that it gives you more heat than it deals? I can't understand their reasoning for that one, you're basically venting direct from your reactor, which should cool the ****er down.

Yea, but I'm sure they'll drop it in at some point. They just have a **** ton of other issues to deal with atm. As it stands right now the beta is unplayable to me. Constant rubber banding is ruining it, I can't get a decent shot just cause they keep skipping all over the map. Plus I'm running dual screens and it won't keep my mouse within the borders of the game, causing me to click outside, minimizing it, only to maximize and come back to a busted up mech.

Weird. I hardly ever have any graphical or lag issues. Unless they are doing stress testing. Then **** gets weird.

I'm also wondering when they are gonna start putting in more game modes.

I didn't either before the patch. After the patch it was rubber band city for no good reason.

Jenner, Commando, Raven, Centurion, Hunchback, Catapult, Dragon, Awesome, Atlas.

I think that's all of them.

Yep. They're adding the flea soon, but if it's anything like the version that was in mw4 it's irrelevant. 50 mg's and nothing else=useless.

Actually it'll probably have:

2 Medium Pulse Lasers

1 Flamer

2 Small Lasers

That's its loadout from the table top, which is what all the other mechs have gone by so far.

You really have to work with your team, or at the very least stick together. If you wander off alone you're bound to run into 3-4 of the enemy and they'll make you the pivot man in their laser circle jerk.

Case in point, I was running an HB, getting chummy with a friendly Atlas, when I got distracted chasing an enemy HB. Got separated from my team and a guy in a Raven just utterly embarrassed me. He was using nothing but an AC20 and took my head clean off. Didn't even touch the rest of me. Just ran circles so I couldn't hit him clean, and picked at that one spot.

Also, I am kind of liking the Dragon. It's fast for a Heavy. I picked the variant with the AC-2 so it's got a lot of armor too. Not a real fan of the LRM, but I may play with swapping it out for a SRM or something.

Edit: For the curious, played Hawken. It's kind of dumb.

Just use it as the ultimate annoyance machine, get behind enemy mechs and blow off their rear armor. Mine has all med lasers and a gauss... Reconsidering the gauss because of the new glass cannon nature of it, but so far it's been surviving ok.

added you big scott. also do you only get XP if you are a premium member? i've gotten spots and assists out the *** and not a single point of experience. i see it pop up in the corner saying i've earned XP but then at the end of the game i get nothing.

You have to buy a mech from the store to start earning XP. The Trial mechs only earn you cash. They really need to work on making that more clear, because it's a question that comes up a lot.

Save up to put an XL engine in it and give it full armor it's a beast with a gauss. I have mine decked out with four MLasers, Gauss, AMS, CASE, and plenty of heatsinks. Since then, I've only died once in it and all the other times I didn't even lose a limb.
