iPod Nano 6 Watchbands, Good For Exercising?
I just picked up one of the new Nanos, and I thought they would be great for running, lifting and whatever since they are so small and have a built in clip.
Rather than an armband or using the clip, I'm wondering how the watchbands would be? Anybody else use one for running? I found a pair of headphones with a short cable which would go well with it.
Thanks

1 of 2 things will happen.
1. The cord would be too short and an errant faggy swing of your arm would rip the earbud out of your ear.
2. The cord is long enough to annoy you.
I prefer armbands, personally.

When I mountain bike, I stick ipod in my back pocket, and run the cord up the back of my shirt. Works great for me.

I use a wristband, but I band it around my sack instead.

I know the cord might be a problem. If I find the right lengthed one, I think it would be alright.
And I want to be able to change the song or mess with it on the fly, so the pocket is out. I used the clip today, and it's fine, I think I would like it on my wrist more though. I'm gonna pick one up and try it out.

1. Ask a question.
2. Receive responses.
3. Do what you had planned on doing anyway, ignoring the input of those who responded.
It's like the people who buy something and then ask if it was a good decision.

I do something similar when I run, except I use an armband. Run the cord into my sleeve, up and out the top of the shirt. Usually works pretty well, every now and then it'll hang up on my collar and piss me off/throw off my rhythm.

If you had your mind set already, then why did you make a thread? There are these things called play lists for a reason.

It's only like $20, so why not try it out? You didn't present me with a definite reason not to get one.
In regards to your first, you left something out...
1.5 The cord is the perfect length and it all worked out perfectly.
Nobody said I ignored your info, but I am saying your info was lacking. And my questions were aimed at people who actually use the watchbands for exercise, so you're on the same boat as me as far as experience goes. Therefore, I think I will buy a watchband and try it out. Thanks.

Get wrist band, get bluetooth...oh wait. I never have understood the point of mp3 players with the way technology is today. I have an 8gb flashdrive (dc current kills phone batteries therefore I avoid it and aux sucks) in my car and a 16gb card in my vivid. I saved $200 instead of buying something redundant.

I clipped it onto my shorts today, but I can't see the screen really, hence the watchbands I'm asking about. And I don't trust the clip enough to have it on my sleeve. It didn't feel too secure when I tried it out on there.
And I like having a screen, being able to play specific songs, etc. No Shuffle for me.

Do you think AC comes out of the USB port on your computer or the AC adapter that you plug into the wall?

Don't use the watchband. I did this exact same thing when I first got my nano for working out. Since there's no cloth to soak up sweat, your sweat will run down your arms and get into the ipod. It messes up the volume and you have to take it off. I just clip mine to my waistband. But trust me, don't do this. Best case scenario: your ipod gets a little wet. Worst case: it gets really wet, and you short it out.
