If you are looking to get into play pump here are the markers that I would look at that are relatively inexpensive:
Tippmann SL68II
Good - cheap, easy to work on, has autotrigger, can be used to hammer tent pegs in when bunkers fall down
Bad - very limited barrels since it is a slip fit (can be fixed using electrical tape or nail polish to hold paint in barrel)
Azodin KPII
Good - AC threads, hitman mod included, regulated
Bad - No autotrigger, feedneck is a love it or hate it
Empire Trracer
Good - AC threads, easily modded (lots of mil-spec rails), auto trigger, light, stock class feed easily available
Bad - didn't use the old grip frame so my CCM 86* frame does not fit
If you have the money, I would pick up the Empire Sniper.
Bang for your buck it is a great gun and comes with alot of stuff that will keep you going pump wise (autotrigger, barrel kit, stock class feed, good parts kit, hitman mod)
When I started playing in 2004, I started with an old Trracer and had a blast (and still have the gun). If you are playing with the right group, this can be alot of fun. It works alot of the mental game that is paintball and helps you learn alot of skills that are not used as much when using a semi.
