No one will remember 2007 as the season the Giants win the superbowl. This is fact. As 4x4 said, people will remember it for one of the two following reasons.
1) Thats the year the New England Patriots went undefeated in the regular season..easily one of the best teams assembled of all time.
2) The Patriots LOST the superbowl to a team they should not have lost to.
One would be hardpressed to find any sports fan with half a peanut of a brain that when asked what comes to his mind first about 2007 in the NFL would associate that year with the Giants winning the superbowl. This is due to the circumstances of that season surrounding the Patriots.

Hoping so too..I hate the Giants..despise that team..a little less now that the turd who shot himself in the thigh isn't on their roster but still hate them nonetheless.

Pats offense puts so much pressure on other teams offense and defense that unless brady turns the ball over they can beat everyone in the AFC. Especially since the steelers are so beat up.
Speaking of which dont count out the Broncos, I know everyone is but they are at home and against an offense that has 3 line starters out, no running backs and a quarterback that cant move against the best pass rush in the afc. If the broncos put up 17 they win, and 7 of that might come from the defense. Polamalu is beat up as well. The Steelers if they win the AFC should be happy as all hell.
I think the most interesting side is the NFC, but I think the saints vs 49ers winner should be be able to get by the packers, the packers havent played a meaningful game in forever. (I think the lions have an outside shot against the lions but brees is clutch enough to win)

Ya....they all remember the Giants beating the undefeated Pats. Most years nobody even remembers who won the superbowl (down the road). Their superbowl victory is far more memorable BECAUSE of the circumstances surrounding the game.
The giants should beat the falcons, eli is playing too well this season and his weapons are incredible. The defense has some healthy starters again too. |

1) Only Pat's fans remember the 2007 season as 16-0... It's just more convenient than 18-1 or a Giants superbowl win.
2) I am from the North East and now live in SD - life could be worse- we could be Charger's fans.
3) The best defense is a perfect defense- the Giants D did not allow a point by Atlanta.
4) The best defense is a good offense- Eli found his puppy- 3 TDs. Remember, he also had the 6th best all time passing yards season in 2011
5) I hope Harrison performs a Tebow Crucifixion....

NFC is tough to call. Giants, Packers and Saints all have really good offenses so its going to come down to whose defense steps up. Hate to say it, cause I hate the giants more than any other team besides maybe the colts or the ravens, but they have a good shot at beating Green Bay next week with how well their d has stepped up.
Patriots will be fine. Denver/Pitt are both sloppy and I know we could beat Pitt this time around.

A) go anyway and put it on the credit card in hopes of winning the lottery soon?
B) not go and watch the broncos get slaughtered on TV
