Sleep Disorders - Any experience?
Just wondering if anyone has gone through the process of trying to get sleep related problems fixed. I'm on night three of no sleep and have to start getting ready for work in an hour.
I've lived off of 1-3 hours of sleep with the occasional week long no sleep zombie fest my entire life but it's starting to get old.
Any information on the process? Regular med appointment through tricare or go straight to mental health?

I don't dare go to the doc about my sleeping issues. A friend of mine that I went through basic with and wound up being stationed with was eventually kicked out for insomia. He was barely on station for a year. They tried giving him pills but they had no effect and to that they said "**** you."

Like Barrel said, get a sleep study. Your sick call folks should be able to hook you up with the appropriate phone numbers to call.

Does that mean your subconscious wants to piss all over Adriana Lima?

adriana lima? 9/10
Would not bang
Self medicating right now with a few sleep pills and my sixth beer, two bottles of wine later and problem will be solved. Probably why I'm so prone to go on binges where I drink every night of the week, dont have to deal with **** like this. Hell, today it was like I was drunk at work without any alcohol in my system since I had been up for so long and my mind felt fuzzy and frazzled.

I had a dream last night that Stephanie from Sons of Guns tried to make out with me on a bus ride from some ****ing where while someone was ****ing the bus driver in the *** while she was driving. I called next but then I found out she pissed all over him but it would have been awkward since my mom was also on the bus ride.

I've had a lot of sleep issues since the military ... Though I have pills I rarely take them. I have nightmares on a monthly basis it seems if not more. I've had numerous times of demonic dreams and sleep parelous (sp) **** sucks. Sit in bed and stare into the darkness though I'm physically exhausted. Get it all recorded like Goldy said man.

Yea, because if you don't get it recorded they award you 0% disability for it. Even though you went to the corpsman a million ****ing times, and he gave you pills a million ****ing times, and send you SIQ or home or to the rack a million ****ing times throughout your career... if it isn't documented it didn't happen.

sleep parelous, u mean sleep paralysis? But yeah, whenever i have anything close to a lucid dream, or realize im dreaming, a usually nice dream turns demonic real quick. I've been sleeping only 2-3 hours a night, then crash 1 day and sleep all ****ing day for like 12 hours. Been doing this for pretty much my whole life too.

I wish I could only sleep like 4 hrs and be good. I'm not good unless I get like 9 hrs of sleep and if I don't wake up on my own I get tired quick. Tower guard, watch and fire guard are a ***** for me.

I was on my phone when I wrote that, but its happened a few times and its always scary to me. I wake up screaming and drentched. Theyve been always demonic and very violent in nature. Ive killed my wife (or some lady) whos face was blacked out. Ive torn people apart, been on fire.

2-3 hours is norm, If I get like 6 hours of sleep I'm a zombie the next day, it's way to much for me and I cant function at all at work, it's like I'm drunk
I'm fine with that and like it, it's how I've always lived. its those times recently that I go for days without sleeping until I get myself drunk enough to pass out that bothers me and are probably something of concern
to add to the mix I have night sweats on these sleepless nights and I kick around like a mother****er . I've gone through about 6 bottom sheets in the last couple years because I kick so much in my sleep I actually shred my sheets.
**** sleep, drink more

You don't work hard enough at work.
Use it to your advantage when you get out. When I sleep 9 hrs it puts me on a horrible sleep cycle because I want to stay up longer and I have no balance of time. If days were 28 hrs long it would be great.
