Here's part of what I shot today.
One hell of a day today! It started out with going to a diving competition and taking some pictures for a client. Then Lacie (my grand daughter) and I went out and shot a few rounds from a S&W 3914 and a Hi Point 9mm Carbine. Then we went to a local BMX and Skate Park to take pictures for another client. I'll not clutter the thread with the diving and BMX/skate board pictures but here are some of the firearms.
Yes that is brass flying in the pictures. I shot them at 1/3200 of a second to make sure I got some brass. The DOF is a bit off as it's hard to shoot real guns as you do not want to be in front of the muzzle. All the shots were done with a remote shutter release.
This is the first time ever she has shot a real gun. She loved it. She's already wanting to go shooting again.

I absolutely hate having that rack in there. Yeah, it's good for dof. But it's so distracting to me it's not even funny.

I know the B&W with a masking layer is a little played out, but the GF liked this one, so I kept it.

There was a SB-700 camera left bounced into the silver metal behind him.
A AB-800 in a strip box camera right on the other side of the rack filling in his face
Another SB-700 in the background diffused and pointed at the ceiling to fill in the background.

Very nicely done!
I know it's shaky btw, once I can afford a tripod it's gonna be game-on.

Most of the images are soft I know, a product of shooting at ISO 3200 and having a lense that backfocuses badly, but I did what I could...

buy a very nice (or even ****ty upper model) used one, replace broken or overused clamps/parts, and youll be way under budget with a realy nice tripod. Atleast thats what I did and got a professional model manfrotto for about 100 bucks
