HAHA, see now stuff like that I dig.
Before I wasn't saying he was a bad photographer; he has really good lighting setups and technique.
That other photo you posted though made absolutely no sense and was poorly executed.
The barbie on the other hand . I wouldn't mind seeing more of his work.
Skip, you will have a yellow dot in a few.

My buddy is listing all of my Nikon gear today. Finally going to get the ball rolling on making my switch over to Canon and snagging a 5DC.

Alright guys, so I set out to try light graffiti today. So I made a little "Contraption" out of what I had laying around the house and started. Let me know what you guys think On a side note all of them are untouched by any photo editing software.

I'm not even feeling that bad without it. I thought it would be much more difficult because of how often I was on it, on the verge of ridiculousness. Not the case.
609 - I like the love one. What were your settings? The others are cool, something just grabs me about that one.

Aperture-f9 (Kept it high because the lights were VERY bright)
Shutter speed- From 5-15 seconds (each picture was different)
Iso-200 (Again the lights were very bright)
And I was using a Nikon D50 with a 50mm lens
Also got some pictures down at the fireworks on New Year's eve

I don't know about you guys, but I personally hardly find any interest in fireworks photos unless there's nice architecture/landscapes with them. Otherwise it's just a firework :/

diggin' it.. steel wool? most of them are well executed, but i would most definitely encourage you incorporate your background into the composition.
one more of my buddy's, he's influenced my light painting a ton. (recognize the go kart..?)
edit: obviously not steel wool.. no sparks, lol. what did you use?

Very Nice pictures! I most definitely will incorporate the backround in my next shots. I used a strand of 100 christmas lights wrapped around a small extension cord. That is why the shot was so close to my house due to I was limited by the cord lol.
I also tried blue christmas lights and I also tried to do the light orb but neither turned out. Here is how they looked,
Sorry for the double post. Here is another picture that I took a few days ago. I know the horizon is off but with the water hitting the tripod and with it being on real soft sand I was unable to get it perfect :/
