to do or not to do?

got a chance to purchase this Savage's new One Mile Rifle: Savage 110BA Tactical .338 Lapua Magnum
http://randywakeman.com/Savage_110BA...8_%20Lapua.htm

I was about to send off one of the last unanodized viking body and tray to DC for milling. other parts I have aquired are
raw polished Tarantula 90* frame, with Tarantula metal panels and 2 different style triggers for it (all raw polished)
raw DC volumizer
raw STD LPR
raw AKA 2 -Liter
raw javelin
raw eye covers
new hammer cartridge
new Robtown valve
newish Bolt and bolt pin (got it from a disfunctional Valhalla)
A+ feed neck polished black
raw Lapco Feedneck

the question is should I sell this off and buy the savage? and no, i cannot afford both. man what to do, what to do

and yes I have another AKA. its an 04 Excal

Have you ever sat down and shot something of that caliber? Some people don't mind it but a .338 LM does let you know its there.

Id take the Savage now that I look at it. I killed my first deer with a Savage rifle and have loved them since.

tough call, what serial number is the body out of curiosity?

firearms will hold their value indefinitely though.. paintball guns... not so much

As much as I love aka, the savage is probably a better investment

I would personally go with the Savage. Although it would be cheaper to shoot the paintball gun the Savage will hold it's value a lot better.

Which would you use more often and/or enjoy having more?

Both "toys" will be a lot of fun. But its really about what you are going to get more enjoyment out of.

.

Nice rifle but how often will you really use and more importantly have the ability to use it to its fullest extent.

That rifle starts showing is real colors after 300 yards. Are you really able to conveniently go and take shots at that distance much less a mile.

Kind of like buying a high end sportscar with no highways around, whats the point if you can't open it up.

Having said that though... go with the rifle.
