Hey LT, the same thing happened to me after I got the dart kit, my ego was leaking from the valve area, and I took it to a shop and hey told me they had to sand it a bit, even though there was no visible damage

If you choose to sand it, use 800 grit and lay the sealing face flat on the table. Be sure to use oil on the paper. Move the guide in small figure 8s. If the guide doesn't stay flat you could cause more damage then when you started.

Bill,

Why would a Ego11 leak from the top of the reg? (where it screws in) I have changed the Lpr assembly o-rings, rebuilt the whole reg, torpedo o-ring And also the o-ring where the reg screws on. I haven't had any luck and haven't seen anything like this.

hello Bill-- i have an ego 08 that has a leak you can barely hear coming from the feed neck area. it fires fine for 5-10 shots then it becomes a massive leak until i fire another 3-5 shots and then goes back to a quiet leak.... i have replaced all of the rammer o-rings torpedo o-rings, an LPR body o-rings.... when i gas up the marker with the grip frame removed the leak isnt coming from the QEV, selenoid or minifold ..... just started happening in the middle of a point this past weekend, please help.

Is it definitely from where the reg screws into the body or possibly from one of the other areas you changed the oring. Try airing it up and spray soapy water on it. This will help locate the area. Only use a small amount of liquid. You dont want to spray it near the electronics.

Make sure there is no paint. Gas up the marker with the barrel off. Pull the bolt pin up and slide the bolt forward. Does it get louder? If so, it is one of the following 4 issues:

1) Replace the Exhaust valve (poppit).
2) Replace the Exhaust valve guide orings.
3) Replace the Exhaust guide (valve body).
4) The valve spring is bent or not sitting in the valve chamber properly.

If it gets louder with the bolt in the rear position, you need to replace the front #9 rammer oring.

I have actually used water/dawn soap mixed to create bubbles when sprayed on and its definitely coming from where the reg threads on.

Hello Bill,

I have a csl that couldn't chrono more than 260. I changed all the orings and now with the velocity screw all the way out it shoots 280. Solenoid settings are 5and7 and the lpr screw is flush. Brand new battery also. It has a new dart kit installed. The issue is the same with the dart kit or the stock poppit kit.

Orings I changed were from the inline piston, lpr pistion, lpr body, rammer, velocity screw, and the small one inside the top of the velocity screw.

Any idea what the problem may be?

Yeah my valve guide had a tiny scratch on it, so my local shop fixed it up for free since I bought the dart kit from them. Just take it to your local shop and see if they can do it for free because its actually something very simple.

This is a used LP valve for a 09-11 so I think iīll try to do it my self. I got the regular MP valve installed with no leaks, but, really want to put the LP back in , the 09 shoot so smooth with that along with some really good fine tunning.

thank you for your quick response Bill ..... i noticed after checking out the exhaust valve that the metal rod is not connected to the cup seal (the little black plastic piece) every picture/ video i have watched it shows these pieces stuck together..... where as mine is not ..... i assume that this is my problem but want to be sure that these pieces aren't meant to basically just stack on each other and are held together by the valve guide's tension....

The side your pinching should go into the body first. The other is the sealing side. See if it has any nicks.

Ive looked and think I know the answer, but dont know 100%

I have a 07 vicious ego and i just put in a new battery, the board flickers and then shuts off and will not fire after about 10-15 shots.

My guess , is the board is going bad... Am I right? please advise

Edit : tried a new , new battery and its a little better but still flickers..
