But that doesn't change the fact that I want it to be released so I can get a new marker. Preferably in a gloss blue/black scheme like both my Quests.

Just out of curiosity, why do you guys have two companies/websites with slightly different products available on each?

The prototype definitely has the Victory/Shocker love child look. The air passage plug holes on the back would seem to indicate possible Shocker type internals. But, with YDNA involved, it is not surprising. Andy is a great guy.

Sounds like he's confusing this with that other obscure marker, the rogue.
There was some kind of odd dealings between the manufacturer and the company who sold them. It is in one of the news threads about the rogue.

I greatly dislike the design of the marker in the pictures so I'm glad to hear it's more of a temporary phase that they're just using for testing. I noticed that both pictured markers are even slightly different from each other (note the back caps, regulators and eye covers are different on each marker) so I'm sure that whatever the final product is, it's going to look better than what we're looking at here.

As far as performance goes, if Andy designed this, I doubt I'll have any problems with how the marker shoots when it's finished. I'd be more worried about the ergonomics of the grip frame, balance, weight/height/length, location/position of the feedneck, trigger adjustability/design quality, etc.

Could people voice what they don't like about the design? Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I would just like to hear what everyone's issue is with the design. I'm curious to hear what it is paintball players like and do not like in paintball gun designs. I'm sure many industry folks would be interested in hearing what we all want.

Personally, this thing reminds me of the Exalt Droids a little bit. Many lines and facets to the design, pretty damn cool if you ask me. It also seems to have a lot of attention to detail and I hope that carries through to the final product.

It might be that the pictures aren't exactly flattering and I bet if we had nice profile pics people may warm to the design.

No, I'm not. This marker has nothing to do with the rogue.

I got it cleared up, Nummech is one company Andy is running to make parts, then several of them are sold under the Thin Air name. I don't really understand why the Mini foregrip extenders aren't sold by Thin Air as well, right now they're for sale on the Nummech website only. Maybe they just haven't gotten the chance to switch stuff over yet, or perhaps different parties in the Thin Air organisation don't want to focus on small parts.

Oh well, just a curiosity.

The other thread is still here too btw: http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3723466

Again, not that I know of. I just talked to Chris Cole at Cup and I talked to Jon-Paul regularly on the phone too. You have to realize, I've known many of these people a decade or longer.
Just want to point out that their website gets caught by the swear filter.

It was during the spamming I mentioned before. Hopefully that's past them now.

How long do you punish a company for said transgressions?

Putting a company's url on the swear filter is usually a last resort. It means they've been given several chances and just doesn't get it or chooses to repeatedly push the limits after they've been asked not to. We typically don't remove it until they come to us and explain that they want to be part of the community. It's not something we just lift automatically and assume they now get it.
