Why do people hate the Vapor?

I Have a 2014 Vapor and I love it. No eyes to worry about cleaning, and no macro line getting in the way like the Egos or LV1s. It's shoots just as consistent as my luxe so why do people hate on them? Comments?

V1 initial price and then v1 issues that was resolved over updates.
customer service slowly dimenished. along with a promised hopper to so many. this is what i have read.
i dont have experience with this. i did have a v3 and it was nice. my '14 and gear does great. i did feel like the v3 shot smoother than a friends luxe 2.0.
just be happy with an underrated gun! as i am!

Yeah I enjoy my '14 Vapor, even with the stock bolt it shoots smoother than my pooty luxe so I give the vapor lots of cred.

As said, the 2012 v1 had MAJOR QC problems. The v2 only fixed some, so it wasn't until the v3 that it was reliable. Then the hopper that was supposed to come free with the marker just kept getting delayed, and delayed, and delayed so that most people ended up getting rid of the marker rather than wait for what most had come to believe would never appear (although obviously they actually did). There's also the fact that where the 2012 vents the noid can be highly irritating if you don't wear gloves.

As for the 2014, it is a much improved marker, but still overpriced given that it has no OLED, and the LED board they did use is so complex it's irritating for many users to program. Also, the eye pipe has caused issues with quite a few people. If they had kept classic eyes and no eye pipe, I honestly think the 2014 would be much less looked down upon. As is, it's a great shooting marker that will become worthless the second supplies of the eye pipes run out.

Eye pipes are the clear molded plastic parts that fit at the front end of the bolt right?

Yeah, the worst design ever. Dye's are even worse (since the eyes are built into the pipe and so EXTREMELY expensive), but eye pipes in general are a horrible idea, as they're simply not durable enough and crack far too easily, thus causing the eyes to not work.

Good thing for me I have 2 spares lol. How do they crack though? It doesn't seem possible if the bolt is sliding on an oring coated with lube.

well not sure exactly for my experience as i have not had one crack yet.
but i have noticed the pin in the breech, which from ideas ive heard to stop the barrel from over tightening, is only to line up the eye pipe.
on mine the pipe is slightly longer than the pin. so it would seem that the pipe and barrel do touch and could be overtightened to cause it to break.

I haven't noticed any pin in my breech. To line up the eye pipe I just slide it down the breech and make sure that the openings are lined up. And I've tightened my barrel as much as possible but there's still a small gap between the eye pipe and the barrel. I can't see how people break these things xD lol I make sure that the bolt oring that slides along the inside of the pipe is super lubed up

I've known several people that had them break. Haven't broken mine yet either, but I don't trust it either.

Well I cap my marker at either 12.5 or 13bps and I only play in semi because I like to control my gun. I'm hoping that will ease off stress on the eye pipe, but then again it was designed to have a fast moving part in it.

no pin? sounds like it was left out. pull engine and look down breech. bottom center.
you should see the slot/index in the pipe at the bottom front center.

mine being a clear pipe, when i installed it is slightly longer than the pin.
so the pin could never stop the barrel.

and for some strange reason you havent seen it, see promods 2014 walkthru vid. it will directly show you where the pin is.
