What should I add to this?

Hey guys, I got drunk and bought this on eBay awhile ago (smart huh? lol). I don't actually regret it, as this one is pretty light and shoots great, but the efficiency is just awful.

I'm not expecting much from an old Impy, but 1 pod/hopper off a 45/45 at 3k psi can't be right. My old Impy got 4 pods off a 68/45.

I know it's got a
Shocktech bolt,
new Feedneck,
I wanna say PE trigger, (know I know it's CP)
Some extremely light frame, (apparently stock)
but other than that I couldn't tell you about any adds.

its a stock frame and a cp trigger (my personal favorite trigger).
as far as what to add for efficiency all the NDZ internals helped (rip valve, hammer assembly, equalizer bolt) and an LPR would help a bit.
otherwise just try to get it tuned and running smooth.
maybe a bigger tank lol. imps dont get amazing efficiency really...

personally i would start with an lpr if you can find one cheap. then the rip valve and then the assembly if you want (its the most expensive generally)

Really? That's the stock frame? I could've sworn it was like hauling a metal brick around all day. Then again I was a skinny little 17yo.

I'm not expecting amazing effeciency, but any little progress is better than none. I just wanna use this on rec days. It's fun telling kids it's a prototype Ego because of the half blocking.

Thanks for the info!

What rip meant was that it is a stock frame with some cutting. The top back has been cut off to rid you of that bit of useless aluminium. That brass right angle on the gauge is adding some unneeded weight. Do you have a free port on the other side of the 15* VA? If you do and the threaded back of that gauge is long enough, you can get rid of the 90* and nib put the gauge
there. The back hole is good for checking pressure when you install a lpr.
Getting the dwell right will improve your efficency too. http://www.impulse-owners.com/manual...ber_manual.pdf

Yeah I knew about the halfblocking. There's no extra guage port on teh VA though. I thought of that too

'll have to check what Dwell I'm at now. Wouldn't be surprised if it was high.

more compact? Yes Better effeciency? NO. I'm not a fan of the SP lpr's personally. NDZ all the way.

ndz used an ans jackhammer i think; could probably even do better with a micro rock, or an scm would be best.
