First shot drop?

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with my NXT Shocker. I'm not too smart with it, trying to learn so I've been reading up on a bunch of other threads, checked out that one website that has a bunch of stuff about Shockers/Luxes. I think it's zdspb?

Anyways, I can't really understand a bunch of it and need some help dumbing it down for me. My shocker is having some issues and I'm not sure which o-ring I should replace to help fix it. It's having some strange first shot drop/stick issues. It doesn't have bolt stick when I just freshly clean and lube it, but it does have some horrible first shot drop after a few games. After shooting about two bags, it starts to get major first shot drop to where it's an issue during games. It doesn't happen when I shoot a rope, only the first 2-3 shots aren't all that great.

I'm using a stock board on my NXT, stock HE bolt system with the Pooty bolt guide. (NDZ Low Pressure)

Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

sounds like overlubing/underlubing might be an issue here. check that out!
lube keeps the orings "wet" but should not cake or be a layer on anything.
someone else will come around and tell you which oring it should be

Also check the V2 spring mod thread and read the section about oring tolerances.

I don't think it's the lube issue. I'm usually pretty good about that. The gun bolt system is not polished. It's a stock HE bolt/can/sleeve. Only the bolt guide is the Pooty LP one. It is not spring modded either.

As someone said earlier sounds like overlubing/underlubing. Also check ZDSPB.com and make sure you are using the correct size orings for the sail o-ring and make sure the inner o-ring in the bolt sleeve is in good shape also. http://www.zdspb.com/tech/mguide/sho...e_bolt_he.html
There is the maintenance page for the HE bolt system. It gives you sizes for each o-ring that you will need. Also i would look into spring modding your bolt, it really does make a big difference. If you cant figure it out from there i should be out at SCP Jan 1st if the fiance allows it so maybe be able to help troubleshoot it.

Honestly, I've never had dropoff with an unsprung shocker. When I grease it, I put some gun oil on the metal part of the bolt and some down the bolt itself to get on the guide Orings. Dryfire a couple dozen times and you're good to go. I usually do that in the beginning of a day of play and then during the lunch break.
