The only issue we had with Poco Loco was that you were either going down hill all day, or up hill all day.

I have always liked TSSOC games at PocoLoco, and Hellkatz at LVP. Smaller run games at EMR have been a favorite for me because I like the field.

Ambush Paintball in Conestoga, PA has decent one day themed games at times. Not always a true scenario, but more complex than just walk one days. Pretty cool fields too.

2 of my all time favorites were the first ever NJ Nam, and the first ever North vs South, both at the old Usana fields. Once those games ran a couple years and everyone knew what to expect they got less fun that when they were new and fresh and less scripted.

The problem I have found is you come to expect certain things from either a field or producer, so many games that producers run at a particular field each year are almost identical to last years, just a different theme. (Same map & bases, different names - same missions, different props - similar role players & third parties, differnt scripts)

Producers who do well tend to have a scenario format that works well for them and players have responded well to. To me a format doesn't get as old as quickly as a field does. If producers could vary fields more often with a proven format it would keep me more interested.

I liked Viper at EMR, but I wish he had come back to the NE area at a different field each year. I was bored by his third game I attended at EMR.

I am taking a break from actually playing West Point, as the field itself is just getting old to me. I will attend though for support and pay my way in, just maybe run with the command group or tankers to vary it up for me.

I am looking forward to trying some of the OXCC with Delta to see what they come up with, but if they can't vary the field too much, I hope they vary the games enough that each one doesn't repeat itself.

Done rambling, hope this makes sense and helps...

Oh god you mentioned the phoenix games in a Delta thread...(btw iwas one of the ref staff that came down for those games)

I will say tho i always wanted to play those games instead of ref them. they always seemed to be alot of fun

Top Gun....The Polar Bears vs Penguins game is always a fun event. It's coming up in a few weeks.

I've had great times playing at Picasso Lake, Cousins, Quickshot, and OTP.

I'm hoping to play Poco Loco in March, Maybe Skirmish this year, LVP, and EMR.

I've even emailed two fields for their 2012 schedule and their reply said to wait until January when they post their events.

I know that PSI has their "Frozen Tundra IV" game on Jan. 7th. That's probably my 1st game of the year for 2012. I hope to cut down from the 26 games I did in 2011.

Well we are playing on a mountain and I have yet to find a mountain that is flat. lol.

This is our home field and I have to agree to the lopsidedness but it has really made us think about strategy and we make it work so that there's no real advantage of being uphill vs downhill on the field.

The Bunkers entrances where all on the uphill side if I remember correctly as well as there was 4-5 down tree"s in front of our base. May I suggest getting those tree"s out of the way or starting the bottom hill team up a bit further up the mountain and maybe switching side"s at lunch or something ?

The fields there arent bad but TopGun paint SUCKS. They overcharge like crazy there. $40 for walk on, no discount for bringing your own gear. Then they hit you $80 for paint! To make it worse, the paint was all crushed, dimpled, or just flat! I've never seen anything so bad ever.

Seriously not as bad as you are making it out to be. I just played last week and the paint had no oil and was not dimpled at all. The painy is $70 for the Polar Bears vs Penguin game and I've never gotten a discount anywhere for bringing my own gear. People go to Skirmish or EMR all the time and walk more than play and pay $100 + for a case of paint. Now that is expensive. I've played at some fields around Jersey with some pretty crappy paint. I don't complain because i know it happens everywhere. It has happened at every singe field I've been to at least once. Sometime you get a bad batch. Sometimes they don't flip the paint often enough. Sometimes they just get cheap paint. The bottom line is....it happens at every field. We don't stop supporting that field because of one bad day. We play at every field around Jersey and surrounding states to help support the sport. We hope to make it further each year to experience more fields and games. We will also keep supporting the local fields and hoping that you guys will do the same for us. The sport can prosper if we all support each other.

I hope to see you all on the fields this year. Happy Holidays to everyone!!!
