Dangerous Power E1, Azodin Blitz, or Spyder Pilot Electra
Hello pbnation Im hoping if you guys can help me out. Im looking to get a speedball gun under $200. First gun I was looking at is the DP E1, seems pretty good except for the feedneck and the semi auto board. It seems pretty decent though. The Azodin Blitz also looks decent and I heard the manufacture is great. Spyder, well Im not big with Spyders but I thought I should throw that marker in for comparison. Please help me out, thank you.

BallzOut Paintball

i currently own a DP E1, a Kaos (mech Azodin) and in the past i have owned a few spyders. Im not impressed with the fit and finish of the Azodin line, they work but in my opinion they look less quality to the spyders. not by much though. the E1 i have rocks chucking out paint w/ ease. it does suffer from bolt stick issues now so i have to clean it out of the body and noid next time i get a chance. The newer spyders use a fairly new valve design with a lighter hammer then previous models. this is good to reduce kick and improve efficiency.
if i had to pick out of only those 3 markers i would go with Spyder, perhaps the new Spyder Fenix. its simple, fast shooting, durable, and cheap enough to allow you to get a 48ci/3000psi hpa tank for about the cost of an E1.
if you stick with paintball you will undoubtedly upgrade you marker in a year or two, it may be better to start low-end now and splurge on the next marker you get for more competitive play.
not that the E1 sucks, it really is a fast shooter. you will have to change feed necks though. stock uses two o-rings to secure the loader, which works unless you get paintball fill, lube, oil on them. omg i hate the stock feed neck so much so i spent $10 on ebay and got a replacement clamping unit. the one thing i do like about the E1 is that you can swap out the limited stock board and trigger for those of the G3. so nice that all the G3 users upgraded their boards and now the stock G3 boards can be had for rock bottom prices to upgrade my lowly E1 into a super sleeper or sorts.
the E1 has potential but the Spyder just begs to be played with.

Bolt stick on the E1 can be easily solved by correctly lubing the bolt and keeping lube off of the back cap and bumper oring. Servicing the Solenoid and removing the terrible DP40 lube that they put on it will also help the marker out considerably.
If you are considering a DP marker, I would save up for a little while longer and pick up a G4 as it has more board options, more upgrade-ability and comes with a clamping feedneck.

The dm7 is a tourney level marker, it was an expensive marker when it came out. The E1 is a starter gun, don't do it.

My vote goes to the Blitz. They are solid performers, use cocker barrels, standard 9 volts, and are very easy to maintain. They are a little on the loud side, but with a good barrel and bore match they aren't that bad. Like the guy above, I never break paint in either of my Azodins. I have owned all sorts of guns and these hold their own against anything. I bought my zenith originally so I could use co2 on it. Occasionally I still do and never have any problems.
