I think you might have missed the point. Only a handful of these are being sold. The rest are being given away. This is in no attempt to generate any revenue that they will lose by giving or donating the rest.
It's an opportunity to thank the people associated with PE for 20 years. Then if you have extra cash and you're one of 3-5 people you'll have an opportunity to buy.
I think it's awesome. If you were one of the few that were given them it'd be an honor. Just like any other company giving away years of service awards.

I get it, but then I don't.
They're always coming out (well, they used to) with their SL's and random special ed markers. Remember that diamond one?
You're right about the charity part. I guess that's what glancing over another post gets me. For that, I apologize. Other than that, grats to the employees who get them. |

PE is really smart when it comes to money, make a gun that is exactly the same as something they already make, change milling, create special anno, and then say it is a 1 of ?, and BAM just made some serious cash on a gun that cost the same to make as one of their other guns. Just look at the SL91, a geo that is a 1 of 10? and it sold for 7 grand...

1 of 1's are not the money generators for PE. Selling one marker for 7-9 grand is not going to pay the employees. It gives people an opportunity to own a rare marker.
Most of their limited edition markers (aka 1/25) do not cost the general publich any more than their 1/200 (just making that number up.
The CSL costs more money but then again you do get a lot more things as well. Not to mention the exlusivity that comes along with it.
It's only worth what people will pay.

i would disagree with the value dropping. the value will not drop, values drop because new things comeout and they are better, but this isnt a regular everyday item since there will only be 40 of these markers in the worlds (20 ego/20 geo) there value will hold atleast and will probably go up. and no one will really know what they are worth to sell because i would bet that the people that recieve these guns wont sell them and if a set goes up for sale the value is very hard to determine.
i also would say that at auction they could go for 10+ grand and if two rich people really wanted them then what they go for is up to how much someone would spend on them to own simply amazing markers.
and god are those amazing, i think they are one of the nicest looking markers in the world, it would be hard to find a gun that looks as simply amazing as this
and my guess for the price they go for at auction is 15+grand. i know i would pay that for those....if i had the money that is.
and they are always going to make 1 of 20 guns because the owners are exclusive and everyone wants something that no one else has or that not everyone has. why do you think people customize their cars so they stand out and arent the same as everyone else. thats the point of these gun its nostalga and prestige
