Barrel threading is quite unique, not shared with any other gun. Though the barrels that come with it are quite nice. Being a novelty gun it does hold some value, not like you can pick one up at any pro-shop. Price is also heavily influenced by included accessories. A basic gun with one mag, one front mag, and one hopper adapter plate would be cheaper than the rarer AT16 with the milsim foregrip and top rail, 8+ mags, mil-spec carry handle, metal CAR stock, and on and on.
But I watched a set go for $250 last month on another forum, and I thought that was a hell of a good deal.
