I've solved all your problems: best gun.

I've been thinking about what gun is truly the best gun. I mean, overall, the best marker you could buy with your money.

LUXE.

Now. I actually don't own a Luxe, never have. In fact, I'm very partial to Matrixes. I mean, yeah, it's not the most efficient gun out there and I know there can be FSDO and some other minor issues (no OLED, magnetic eyeplates suck). But all these issues are marginal. The greatest triumph of the marker: ergonomics; the Luxe is so comfortable you can sleep next to one. Whenever I use one my first thought is how nicely if fits in my hands and the sense of control I have with it.

Glad you found a gun you like... But simply put the best gun for you doesn't mean it's the best for everyone across the board. I know quite a few people that strongly dislike the Luxe. I've held one but never played with one and quite frankly wasn't impressed. Didn't like the way it felt in my hands. And I'd take an oled any day over a talking board.

Highly debatable topic here.

Efficency problems, FSDO, Magnetic Eyes plates that could be shoot off are hardly marginal problems. Those are rather serious issues. Lets not forget all those who have reported their markers simply going down all together.

When its working correctly....very good marker. But with its inherent problems calling it the hands down best is a stretch

I'd rather the non-talking version. You can get it used for $200 easily and I find it much more comfortable in my hands. The Luxe is too long, very uncomfortable for me.

I've seen more luxes catch air time from angry owners than any other gun. That's about the only award I would give them, the 'Most Air Time' award.

That being said I would still really like to own one.

Yeah....except its a spool....

I'm sorry but until you bring me a spool with very few o-rings that either touch moving parts or move themselves AND they are all smaller than the ring on a condom I will start liking them.

Until that happens no spool can ever be "the best gun ever". I do like spools but with those two HUGE problems they cannot be considered IMO.

and just in case anyone missed that: I. M. O.

I disagree with that statement about the luxe being the best. Personal preference is what it comes down to. The luxe has too many issues for my liking. When it works, it shoots pretty nicely. However, so do other markers that are in that MSRP range and more consistently also might I add. Not worth it imo

yeah the luxe has way too many problems to be the best gun. In practice last weekend. the team we were playing against, had 2 of theirs go down. plus way too high of a price tag. I don't get the point of spending $1500 when spending half of that will get you a more reliable, better shooting marker.

Guys, I know the best car on the market today. You should all buy it right now.

Hyundai Veloster

Now, I don't own a Veloster, but I've driven it for about an hour or two. Obviously, that makes me an expert. Yeah, it was the best car ever. The engine was under-powered, and the brakes had some issues, but those are only minor problems. The only thing that counts is how it looks!

Gee wiz, maybe that would be the case if your statement had any validity at all. I know and have witnessed plenty of luxes owned by reputable players straight up take a ****. They're far from the best spool valve ever made let alone the best gun.

Shockers aren't bad markers. The problem is the PRICE POINT for a Shocker that hasn't been overly improved. Considering Shockers before they were discontinued were $600 brand new, then you change the board, internally plumb it, and make an easy out bolt, and more than double the price.

It is a great marker but its nowhere close to "best marker" status. That's all I was saying.
