2 events?! Good Lord.
This is why I liked the tourneys that brought the prizes with them in a nice big trailer. Ya win/place, you get your new gear before going home. Everyone is happy.

Although I did read that one guys rant about how it took him 6 months to get his bushy...so ya may be waiting for a bit...

My team is still waiting for $3,000 worth of prizes from more than one event throughout the series. I know of a couple other teams that are waiting on thousands of dollars in prizes, as well.

So...uh..yeah...when should I expect those prizes?

Well the grip frame thing makes sense, HSW's whole office/wharehouse was destroyed in a huge fire and they're trying to rebuild. So ya gotta cut em some slack on that one.

Sorry guys...the money you paid UP FRONT for the tournament was loaned to Redz Factory so they could play "PRO" this year. The assumption was that Redz would actually win something, thus you guys would get your prizes. Well, needless to say....guess you guys are beat! HA! lol

HSW slack

I think HSW should definitely be cut some slack, but not GPL.
The HSW incident did not happen until after the 5th event and I'm sure that the I- frames in question where due long before that.
and if you advertise a prize at least come up with something. I'm sure the teams that played the tournaments paid their entry fee that day so where did all of the entry fee money and paid money go. NPS got there money because they had a collection agent at each event ensuring that GPL didn't get over on them. If the players had that kind of representation maybe all the prizes would have been given out. Oh well, guess GPL strikes again ........ what can we do ??????????/

except to boycott the thief (quoted from "thisismyusername")
and tell all paintball players and companies of the illegal practices of the GPL.

Waiting for prizes too. Don't know what the hold up is. Maybe Cyndi or Brian could address this here in the forum.

It'll be...there's a backorder on bushy's. 100,000 noobs from some mystery land suddenly bought all the bushys from NPS, and it'll take the elves in santa's workshop 5 months to make new ones...sorry guys it's out of our hands.

There was seriously a NPS collection agent?!

X-ball007 is right the prizes where won before the fire at HSW and I am giving some slack to HSW I have been working it out with them. But I am very mad at Global because they should have all the prizes before each event like they said last year in which I am still owed 4 subscripsions to a PB mag....

We went through the same thing last year so get used to it if you want to play in the GPL next year...

Holy Crap.
Well that's not good at all.
Maybe they should just like hand out cash envelopes. Although, that wouldn't be good for them. Since they offer up prizes valued at retail when they buy for wholesale, therefore the prize package costs them much less. Devious...yet effective.

Damn man. That's pretty sad.
I think something will have to be changed for next season or enough teams may get mad and bail for another league.

X-ball007 is absolutely right. The only way that we're going to be able to get anything out of the thieves is that everyone that is owed anything steps up. The more we voice ourselves, the more it makes people see that Global Paintball is in the wrong here. It seems that the list of known teams is growing, so we need to step up. I encourage every team to get a responsible spokesperson to stand up to Global. This isn't right.

its funny, cause while these kinds of threads have gone on, GPL promoters have been responding to others, but not touching these.

sigh, c'est la vie

oh, and i agree with ThisIsMyUseName, everyone actually make your claims for your prizes, if you won them, and they were promised to you, you deserve them
