Ego 11 vs 2012 G6R
I'm in the process of acquiring either gun and just need some help, I will be playing front/mid if that matters.
I will need something reliable (I am no tinkerer by any means)
I need something light
I need something small
and I need something I can repair if I have to relatively easy.
I don't have anyone close where I can try out either and need some first hand experience from people who have owned one or the other or both
Thanks for any help. It is greatly appreciated.

Now THAT is a good comparison.
They both qualify on everything you want.
I like the trigger on the Ego better. Efficiency on the G6R is superior.
I honestly have to say I have no idea which I'd prefer.

Honestly and not trolling...
There are numerous threads that deal with the ego vs the g6r. Do a little digging and see what you come up with. The 2012 g6r's only have a new board and asa, they are just the same (iirc) as the older gens aside from the aforementioned.
As far as I remember, the general consensus was that the g6r won the battle by a small amount. I have a g6r and I'm bias, however I've never shot an ego 11. Good luck and happy searching.

The only difference between this and older comparisons is the oled and the new asa. Again, if I recall correctly.

I'm sorry for the thread, I tried to search but search isn't working for me for some strange reason.
I usually shoot DMs and wanting something different.
Thanks guys for the information, I might have to bite the bullet and buy both lol.

I owned the 2010(2011??) G6R and currently own a ego11 but in the eyes of performance.. G6R ALL DAY. IMO and compared to MY ego11. The G6R is quieter. Smoother. More efficient. Lighter. Thats why I am getting another g6r when i get the chance.

Like I said, if I like both alot, I will just buy both. I'm getting a great deal of money from work and spare money from college so I am not hurting that bad lol

I owned a G6R and sold it for an Ego11. I liked the G6R well enough, but the Ego11 is just the step more refined for me. I like the ease of maintenance with the Ego11. It is true, the G6R is a tad quieter, and more efficient, but I would argue with anyone about the smootness. I think they are equally smooth. I did really like the trigger on the G6R. For me, I was able to walk it faster than the Ego11, but I am getting more used to it. The Ego11 is just a better all around package in my opinion.

Since you don't like to "tinker" the BL Victory would be a better choice than the G6R
I own both and the G6R rocks but has alot more moving parts and takes alot more effort to break down. I can remove my entire VIC engine and completely break it down and lube in less than 5 mins or without using any tools lube all the O-rings in the engine except one in 1-2 mins. At the field being able to luibe the gun in 2 mins or less is priceless.
Just something to think about but ego vs g6r = G6R

Well I mean in terms of messing around with settings and all. I can take apart any gun that isn't the problem. Just when I have to mess with board settings or anything like that lol.
But I did look into the ripper victory and like it as well. I just like the G6R and Ego 11 that much more is all

There really isn't any justifiable reason to buy an ego11 over a G6r. They are both Extremely easy to maintain, efficient, light, smooth, comfortable, and well made. The G6r also has no macro line, an OLED screen (eclipse still uses LCD), and it's made right here in America. Not to mention the G6r is $250 cheaper (taking in to account the $50 pressure tester which is necessary, $200 cheaper)
The G6r is a better buy. I would love to hear someone argue against that. Even buying a hard case, proper lube, and a complete set of Allan keys (everything that comes with the ego11) the G6 would still be cheaper by over $100. With that extra money hook yourself up with a LP poppit and a Ninja SLP reg; at that point you"ll have a gun that shoots smoother and provides more efficiency than the ego ever will.

Both are amazing guns, however, I do have to agree with everyone else. The price tag on the ego11 does not justify me buying it. That's why I'd probably stick to the gr6 seeing as the difference in performance is miniscule. Just me 2 cents

An ego u can keep in ur bag for 7 months and only lube the bolt and be good ti go. But u can't fine tune a ego. Which is why the G6R is smoother ans quieter then an ego cause u "can" fine tune. Sorry if spelling is txting and driving is a no no
