Reflex rail or rail
Out of the two which one would u guys get? I know the reflex has a different solenoid and a higher bps, but the rail can do right at the 12.5 limit for tournaments. I mean right now with the reflex's being at 500 and the rails at 245, u could use that extra money to drop a techt bolt, better barrel, macroline, and asa on/off and still be cheaper. I'm wondering when they're going to release the 2012 rail.

Honestly, we just got the 2012 Reflex Rail at the Shop, and they are worth it, NT Feedneck, NT ASA, Updated Board, 2 Piece Barrel. It comes with everything you need.
Now the Rails, $245 right?
TechT Bolt - $80
Better Barrel - $50-$80
Macro-line & Fittings - $13
ASA - $40-$60

Final Tally - $453 Rough Estimate without shipping costs.

Don't forget you also get the metal/rubber buttons on the Reflex instead of the Rail's plastic buttons.
I own the '11 Rail, but would have gotten the '12 Reflex if I had the xtra $$ at the time.

Reflex beats all the guns you just mentioned.. sure it costs more than the basic rail but you can hang onto it a lot longer. Personally when I buy guns I put a good amount of $ down but def make it last by hanging onto them. Not that you couldnt do that with the basic rail but I think the best move would be to get a used reflex off here.

Well I don't have the money to buy one now just seeing what's some good options are out there. My bud has an ego 7 and the 2011 rail as his backup and he's letting me shot it until I get mine.

Love my 2012 PRR, no issues with it until I got the Techt L7 bolt ( that's a whole seperate issue )

The Reflex and Rail are NOT the same gun. Efficiency is a lot better in the Reflex and solenoid dwells (18 for the Reflex, 40 for the Rail) are significantly different. The Rail solenoid is a piece of cr-p since it is so cheaply made. You might as well buy a DP G4 IMO. They have way better solenoids than the Rail's. You can buy a used Reflex in the $300+ range now days. Reflex's and Rails make a pinging sound when fired and you can break the eye pipe if you over tighten the barrel. Personally I would NOT get a Rail they are too "low end". I own a 2010 PMR and a 2011 Reflex and like both of them, but was not impressed with the Rail at all.

Reflex hands down if your serious about paintball.. If you just want a cheap marker get a Rail but if you get serious down the road upgrading a cheap marker isnt worth it.. I would know since I went though the experience in upgrading my 2011 Rail only to buy a used BL Victory V2 of PBnation within a few months of upgrading my rail.
