For those of you who experience winter...

Where do you work on your car during the cold months? Obviously I don't have a heated garage, so I've been looking for friend's places or renting a heated storage locker.

Any other options I'm missing?

My cars always get super neglected in the winter.

But I suck it up and work outside with a ****ty heavy sweatshirt and gloves on.

Just make sure you have adequate ventilation.

If I didn't have access to a shop I wouldn't do the work. I hate the cold.

I have a big heater in my garage I use, I get so warm I open the garage door.

When cars are in the garage I work outside for a little, I can manage the cold somewhat

I'll probably pick up a little oil heater when I move into the new place. I don't know how warm or cold it's going to be, but I believe only one wall is insulated. At some point this winter I'll probably finish the garage with insulation on all 3 walls including drywall.

if you have a standard garage door and access to large chunks of styrofoam cutting out sections and sticking in the panels of the garage door makes for damn good insulation.

I have a heater like the one pictured, I'm just not sure how well my garage will hold heat. It's a 2-car garage and only the door is insulated.

I have a propane heater, but most of the stuff I can wait until it gets to 50s and 60s and knock it all out. Winter I go into hibernation mode and indoor things.
